*This role is aligned to the Diamond Infrastructure Solutions (“Diamond Infra”) company and will be permanently seconded from Dow to Diamond Infrastructure Solutions.

About this Role

Diamond Infrastructure Solutions has an exciting job opportunity as Technical Advisor Lead located in Freeport, TX.

Serves in a vital role for Operations, utilizing process knowledge, technical expertise, and operations experience to assist, teach and coach plant personnel. Focuses on troubleshooting process or equipment issues, improving process performance, and increasing plant reliability. Typically, responsible for a larger plant or facility. Requires advanced skills and expertise in a range of processes, procedures, and systems, and/or specialized technical expertise within an analytical/scientific method or operational process to perform a broad range of complex work assignments. May act as a working team lead, providing subject matter guidance and coordinating work of others.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a technical/process subject matter resource in the assigned operational area.
  • Enhances front line skills and knowledge of plant personnel and related roles through coaching on plant process, equipment, engineering, reliability principles, Life Critical Standards, and other related area. Coaches and teaches operators/technicians during troubleshooting activities. Partners with an operations team member when in the field.
  • Performs or assists in process related root cause or failure analysis. Leverages and communicates the results to operate plant personnel for learning purposes. Ensures thorough and timely pre-investigations occur.
  • Works with continuous improvement and plant resources to identify, implement and sustain improvements relating to area of expertise.
  • Partners with plant Process Trainer to ensure plant process training material and qualification assessments content are accurate.
  • Maintains a high involvement in the formal training process and qualification of team members on plant process.
  • Develops a strong partnership with the activity coordinator/gate keeper and provides back up to these roles, as needed.
  • Maintains “on call” status for plant unplanned events, emergencies and advising.
  • Engages in turnaround scope definition, preparation and execution.
  • Owns and coaches' others on the effective use of logbook, focusing on quality of information entered and appropriate note type/stamp utilization.
  • Participates in available Technical Advising role networks to improve personal effectiveness and leveraging of best practices.
  • Creates, reviews, modifies and approves operational procedures to ensure sound operating discipline.
  • Partners closely with the production staff to resolve problems, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the facility goals are achieved. Mentors' new production staff as they on-board and train.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of a high school diploma/GED equivalent
  • A minimum 4 years of experience in relevant industry
  • Must have current, valid US Driver's License
  • Must be able to apply for and be approved by state to acquire Class D Potable Water License through TCEQ
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in reservoir operations

Physical Demands

  • Ability to work comfortably and safely at elevated heights. Candidates must be familiar with, or willing to undergo training in, the proper usage and maintenance of safety equipment to ensure safe movement and operations at heights
