Technical Administration Apprentice

Salamander Sunderland Full time

Salamander Pumps offers a comprehensive range of products designed to power your shower, tap, or the whole house, as well as innovative solutions for gaining valuable water insights.

Part of the Genuit Group, we combine long-term stability with a culture built on teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement. We encourage fresh ideas, invest in development and are committed to creating a safe, inclusive and supportive workplace where everyone feels like they belong.

Are you looking to kick-start your career and learn on the job? We’re offering an exciting apprenticeship where you’ll gain real work experience, learn new skills, and be part of a supportive team.

For this role, we are looking for someone who is reliable, curious, and up for learning new things. No experience is needed as we’ll teach you everything as we go, the only thing we ask for is that you have GCSE Maths & English Level 4 and above.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Helping organise engineer jobs and service visits

  • Keeping in touch with engineers and the team so everything runs smoothly

  • Learning how to check stock and order parts

  • Updating our systems with job info (don’t worry, we’ll show you how!)

  • Using our internal tools to manage stock, returns, and invoices

  • Helping sort refunds and returns

  • Putting together job reports with photos and details

  • Working with different teams across the business (so you get loads of experience)

  • Booking deliveries and collections

  • Helping with general office tasks like post and scanning

  • Getting involved wherever needed — no boring, same-every-day role here

  • Attending the occasional off-site event

  • Learning the basics of manufacturing and plumbing (hands-on stuff too)

  • Supporting sales and technical teams when needed

What you’ll get:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration

  • 18 months minimum apprenticeship programme (starting in September 2026)

  • A wage slip, as you'll be paid each month!

  • Early finishes on Fridays, enjoy a longer weekend right!?

  • Full training from day one

  • Real experience (not just making tea!)

  • A chance to learn technical + business skills

  • Friendly team, relaxed environment

  • A solid start to your career

Applications will close Friday 22nd May at 11:59pm.

We will look to hold interviews on site at the beginning of June (don't be put off if you aren't around though, we can have a chat about dates and flexibility on these)

We look forward to seeing your applications come through!
