GENERAL PURPOSE:
Clean areas and/or, prepare and paint surfaces, equipment and fixtures.
GENERAL DUTIES:
Operate and perform preventive maintenance on motorized cleaning equipment. Clean and prepare surfaces, apply prescribed finishes. Operate general equipment. (i.e.,scissor hoists, man lifts, forklifts, steam cleaners, spray painters, etc.). Replenish supplies as needed, disassemble/reassemble specific power cleaning components. May be required to perform normal janitorial duties.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Receive assignments from Supervisor. Use appropriate equipment to clean and/or prepare and paint to fulfill assignments as directed. Exercise discretion based on established guidelines when cleaning and painting critical components. Measures and mixes proper ratio of cleaning agents, solvents, paints, thinners, etc. Performs work within a wide range of safety precautions. Moderate physical exertion and disagreeable working conditions exists.
