What is the opportunity?

The RBC Dominion Securities team located in mid-town Toronto, ON is currently seeking a licensed Team Operations Manager to assist in administering all aspects of the day-to-day operations of a large advisory team. This is an exciting and challenging role in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

The Team Operations Manager fulfils a leadership role on the advisory team by providing management and employee relations support to the Advisors and support staff. Our ideal candidate possesses the ability to prioritize tasks and work well under time constraints while balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders. The Team Operations Manager will work closely with the Advisory team and Branch Management.

What will you do?

  • Manage all operational needs for the team.
  • Have HR management responsibility for the team, including performance reviews of Associates, Trading and Admin and Operations teams.
  • Training and development for support staff. While indirectly supervising, you will also be providing leadership and coaching to all support staff.
  • Host weekly Team Operations Meeting with Administrative team & Associate Advisors.
  • Along with Advisors, co-Host quarterly business development / outstanding opportunities meeting
  • Assist Advisors with managing team expenses, BDA and operational needs.
  • Assist Advisors with management of key business metrics.
  • Assist with opportunity tracking and reporting for team.
  • Act as Client Experience Management and Service Plan coordinator for team.
  • Special projects, as may be required by advisory team.
  • Team and other business compliance.
  • Assist Advisors with calendar management, email and other scheduling priorities.
  • Review, track, and ensure consistent execution of key team processes. Update processes as needed to ensure efficiency.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask , attention to detail
  • Professionalism and ability to manage highly confidential information
  • Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam, CIRE
  • Excellent people skills, ability to manage different personalities, mature/positive attitude

Nice-to-have

  • Proficiency in Excel and Outlook Mail/Calendar
  • Post-secondary education
  • Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in full-service brokerage industry
  • Management experience
  • Human Resources experience

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$55,000.00 - $90,000.00

This position includes competitive-based pay, and the overall earning potential is impacted by a variable incentive structure, earning a multiple of salary up to:

1.0x
