Job Description
GM Israel (Herzliya) takes a significant part in introducing sophisticated software features into car in many domains like connected cars, advanced camera technologies and research. We shape the face of the future vehicles in diverse fields by developing cutting edge technologies that define how drivers experience safety, awareness, and confidence on the road.
GM is committed to Zero Emission, Zero Crashes and Zero Congestion vision.
About the Group:
At Vehicle Camera Services, we create advanced camera-based solutions that support vehicle safety, driver assistance, and connected experiences for millions of drivers worldwide. Our solutions include rear view, surround view, connected camera features, trailer and towing features, NCAP-related safety capabilities, and additional vision-based systems deployed across GM vehicle platforms.
We are a group of pragmatic, execution-focused leaders and engineers who work at scale, across continents, and across disciplines. We value ownership, clarity, and delivery as much as innovation.
We are looking for a leader who enjoys building teams, improving execution, and serving as the bridge between engineering, Product, and PMO organizations across regions!
This role is a hands-on leadership position for someone who wants to own execution, build strong teams, and ensure that complex camera software reliably reaches vehicles and customers worldwide.
What will YOU do?
Lead a team of Technical Program Managers and Release Managers within the Viewing Engineering organization.
Own end-to-end execution and release of camera software across multiple GM vehicle programs and platforms.
Support delivery of rear view, surround view, connected camera features, trailer-related features, NCAP and safety features, and additional camera solutions.
Drive Program Increment planning, scope alignment, dependency management, and risk mitigation for engineering delivery.
Own the software release lifecycle from development readiness through QA, integration, and delivery to vehicle programs.
Define and evolve execution, triage, and release processes to improve predictability and quality.
Act as the primary interface and gate between Engineering and PMO and Product organizations across sites and time zones.
Translate engineering reality into clear commitments, risks, and tradeoffs for leadership and stakeholders.
Build a strong execution culture focused on ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Proven experience leading technical program, execution, or release teams in a complex software environment.
Strong understanding of modern software development and release practices.
Experience working closely with engineering teams on multi-stream, multi-release programs.
Ability to manage dependencies, risks, and delivery in safety-relevant or vehicle-related systems.
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent management education.
Experience in automotive, embedded, or large-scale platform software environments.
Familiarity with camera systems, vision-based features, or safety-critical software.
Experience acting as an execution interface between Engineering, Product, and PMO organizations.
Background in building or scaling execution and release processes in a growing organization.
Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with shifting priorities.
