Global Business Services

Global Business Services delivers Technology and Operations capabilities to Lines of Business and Staff Support Functions of Bank of America through a centrally managed, globally integrated delivery model and globally resilient operations.

In India, we are present in five locations and operate as BA Continuum India Private Limited (BACI), a non-banking subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation and the operating company for India operations of Global Business Services.

Process Overview*

The Transaction Reporting Control Group (TRCG) ensures the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of the Bank’s transaction reporting obligations across multiple global regulatory jurisdictions. These controls are managed by two core functions within the Transaction Reporting Operations team:

  • Submission Control:
    Responsible for monitoring and remediating internal validation failures and regulator rejections (NACKs). The team investigates root causes by liaising with Middle Office, Front Office, and Technology teams. Submission Control also tracks trades that fail to meet compliance timelines for OTC, ETD, and Securities, raising breaches for any missed thresholds.
  • Enhanced Quality Assurance (EQA):
    Performs post-process testing to validate completeness, accuracy, and timeliness through reconciliations and targeted thematic deep-dive reviews.

Additionally, TRCG supports delegated/client reporting, managing client interactions, reporting on their behalf where applicable, and ensuring timely communication and remediation of issues as per client agreements.

Job Description*

The Management Information (MI) team plays a critical role in supporting operational transparency and decision-making through accurate and timely reporting. The team is responsible for:

  • Business-as-Usual (BAU) Metrics: Generating and maintaining daily health check reports and standard performance metrics (weekly, monthly and quarterly reports).
  • Ad-hoc Reporting: Delivering customized reports for internal teams and key stakeholders as needed.
  • Executive Reporting: Preparing reports for the Transaction Reporting Executive Forum (TREF) and conducting volume variation analysis to identify anomalies and potential technology issues.
  • Risk Monitoring: Providing insights into metric performance and highlighting any misses, enabling management to take timely corrective actions to remediate reporting issues.
  • Process Optimization: Collaborating with Submission Control and EQA teams to identify and implement automation opportunities that enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Through these activities, the MI team ensures robust governance, proactive risk management, and continuous improvement in reporting processes.

Responsibilities*

  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation and distribution of daily reports.
  • Respond to ad-hoc data requests from stakeholders and deliver within agreed timelines.
  • Analyze any significant variations in the volumes and metrics and high light with the business stakeholders to verify if there is any underlying issues or root causes.
  • Partner with functional teams to explore and implement automation opportunities for process efficiency.
  • Stay updated on changes in the regulatory reporting landscape to ensure compliance and alignment with evolving requirements.
  • Develop a strong understanding of regulatory reporting processes to better interpret requirements and support continuous improvement.
  • Build good rapport with the business partners and stakeholders

Requirements*

Education* Post Graduation

  • Certifications If Any:  

Experience Range* 4-5 years

Foundational Skills*

  • Knowledge and experience with Global Markets and have understanding of regulations such as Dodd Frank, HKMA, ASIC, MAS, EMIR etc.,
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with large data sets in Excel.
  • Knowledge of tools like Alteryx and Tableau.
  • Good with Advance Excel, Power query, Power BI and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational skills to track many concurrent activities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and assess relative priority among competing issues

Desired Skills*

  • Good with Adv Excel and PPT presentations (Automation skills)
  • Advanced Alteryx (Automation skills)
  • Adapts to changes and has a proven track record of working as part of a global team
