Job Summary

The Pharmacy Programs Team Lead is responsible for assisting in the set up and process flow of programs as they are introduced to the pharmacy. The Team Lead is also responsible for ensuring proper communication and coordination between the PSPs and Pharmacy staff to further ensure alignment and program efficiency for best-in-class service to all clients. PV training, invoicing, and documentation preps and updates are among the responsibilities of the Team Lead. This role will involve interactions with Patient Support Programs (PSP) and cross collaboration with McKesson’s business units, including Quality Assurance and Finance.

Location Flexibility Across Canada
This position welcomes applicants from anywhere in Canada who can work in a hybrid model and commute to one of our sites at least two times per week. Locations include:

Specific Responsibilities

  • Training & Compliance
    • Coordinate Pharmacovigilance (PV) training for new hires and staff transitioning roles.
    • Manage PV training assignments in My Learning (LMS) and ensure timely completion.
    • Coordinate staff access to PV reporting portals (internal and client systems)
    • Support PSP and PV teams on follow-ups and PV reconciliation related to pharmacy
  • Program Operations
    • Act as liaison between pharmacies and PSPs to resolve questions, process flows, and program concerns.
    • Support program setup and launches in collaboration with PSPs and manufacturers.
    • Update internal pharmacy reference tools including SOPs, Work Instructions, and other relevant guidance documents as changes occur.
    • Manage various pharmacy program activities including workflow triaging and coordinating information sharing between manufacturer clients and pharmacy
  • Reporting & Documentation
    • Prepare and reconcile AE reports, sales reports, and inventory management reports for PSPs/manufacturers.
    • Provide PV training reports and documentation for audits and compliance.
    • Support in relevant pharmacy-related audits and ensure readiness
  • Financial Management
    • Invoice PSPs and manufacturers as required.
    • Validate and process pharmacy fees and billing inputs in collaboration with Finance
    • Support copay activities and accounts receivable (AR) follow-ups for pharmacy programs.
  • Project Support
    • Assist with manufacturer reporting, internal inquiries, and troubleshooting.
    • Address ad-hoc PSP or manufacturer requests promptly.
    • Ensure all tasks are completed within scheduled timelines
    • Additional tasks assigned by the Supervisor

Minimum Qualifications

  • College Pharmacy Technician Diploma or equivalent 
  • 5+ years of related experience in pharmacy operations, PSP coordination, or healthcare program management.

Key Competencies

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy under tight timelines.
  • Strong computer skills in a Windows environment using MS Office (Excel, Word)

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$61,100 - $101,700
