Team Lead (Dorset)
Location: Dorset (based at Weymouth, Wimborne or Gillingham hubs)
Service Area: Countywide Dorset (excluding Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole)
Contract Type: 26 hours per week, Permanent
Salary: £31,030 - £41,980
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join our expanding service across Dorset. This pivotal role will provide leadership to our Single Point of Contact (SPOC) function, ensuring high-quality service delivery and effective partnership working across the county.
You will be part of a dynamic management team, playing a key role in shaping service delivery, developing innovative processes, and supporting staff to deliver the best possible outcomes for the people we support.
About the Role
As Team Leader, you will provide effective leadership, oversight and line management to the SPOC team, ensuring services operate efficiently, responsively and to a high standard. The role is countywide and will involve travel between Dorset hubs where required to meet service needs.
You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, confidently problem-solve, support staff development and contribute to continuous service improvement.
What You’ll Do
In addition to the duties outlined in the full Job Description, you will be responsible for:
Providing effective line management for the SPOC team
Offering strong leadership and operational oversight to ensure high-quality delivery
Driving innovation in SPOC processes and leading initiatives to enhance performance
Leading and developing the Relative Support offer to meet service needs
Facilitating group supervision and leading regular team meetings
Delivering training and coaching to support staff development and best practice
Supporting the continuous improvement of partnership working and referral pathways
Actively contributing as a member of the management team, supporting service-wide decision-making

Data & Reporting: Confidence in preparing reports and undertaking statistical analysis
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Problem-Solving: A proactive, solutions-focused approach
Adaptability: Flexibility to support evolving services and develop new pathways
