WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE
In this role, you will:
Oversee the daily activities of the Solvent Recovery Distribution and Environmental Operations teams to ensure effective support for API processes.
Ensure flawless execution throughout each assigned campaign, focusing on safety, quality, supply, and cost.
Develop and implement Cost Improvement Projects (CIP) to drive operational efficiency.
Manage projects and set objectives within the Sub Business Unit, handling moderate complexity.
Lead people, technology, and financial resources at the Sub Business Unit, often through influence rather than authority.
Actively share knowledge across the Sub Business Unit and encourage others to do the same.
Identify potential improvements in processes or products, develop innovative concepts, and take risks to achieve desired results.
Solve complex problems, utilizing experience from outside the own area if necessary, and establish operational activities that support mid-term goals.
Recognize development needs within the Sub Business Unit, create opportunities for colleagues, and manage the performance of both direct and indirect reports.
Facilitate regulatory and customer audit tours, provide audit responses, implement corrective actions, and champion Zero Defects initiatives, including Quality, Environment, Health & Safety, Supply, and cost.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must-Have
Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of experience; OR a master's degree with more than 1 year of experience; OR an associate's degree with 6 years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage and plan budgets effectively.
Proven track record in delivering site performance improvements using Lean and Six Sigma tools.
Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in liaising with outside organizations and customers.
Strong people management experience.
Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Applications, and a willingness to learn and utilize System Application and Products Quality Tracking Systems.
Nice-to-Have
Previous experience in a Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) environment.
Familiarity with mammalian cell culture, protein purification, and solution formulation.
Ability to influence and drive change within the organization.
Experience in managing complex projects and achieving objectives.
