Position Summary:

Teaching Assistants will assist second-year medical students in reviewing prosections (pre-dissected cadaveric specimens) in the anatomy lab (total of 19 hours: 12 hours of laboratory teaching, 4 hours of review sessions, and 3 hours of exam-related activities). They should demonstrate the ability to teach human anatomy in the lab and have a solid knowledge of pelvic anatomy. Responsibilities include leading three (6) prosection laboratory sessions (2 hours each). In addition, Teaching Assistants will participate in the supervision and facilitation of two (2) anatomy review sessions (2 hours each), as well as assist with the preparation (2 hours) and invigilation (1 hour) of the anatomy lab exam (total of 3 hours).

  • Thursday, September 17th, 1:00 - 3:00 pm

  • Tuesday, September 22nd, 12:30 - 2:30 pm

  • Thursday, September 24th, 1:00 - 3:00 pm

  • Friday, September 25th, 1:00 - 3:00 pm

  • Exam setup: Friday, October 2nd, 3:00 - 5:00 pm & Monday, October 5th, 9:00 - 11:00 am

  • Invigilation: Monday, October 5th, 12:30 - 3:30 pm

Qualifications:

Must have previous laboratory experience in human anatomy on topics relevant to the course description. Strong knowledge of pelvic anatomy and good communication skills are essential. Effective communication skills in English are essential. Communication in French is an asset.
