Teaching assistant for Principles of Materials Science -course

Are you interested in working with fellow students and getting work experience in teaching?

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Automation is looking for a

teaching assistant for the ELEC-D8710 Principles of Materials Science -course.


One teaching assistant will be hired for this course. The course will be taught in English.

The tasks of the teaching assistant include

  • publishing given exercise problems in MyCourses

  • attending the exercise session for on-site help for the students

  • checking the returned exercise papers after the session and grading them

  • publishing correct answers in MyCourses

  • updating and publishing the exercise points.

The applicants are expected to have some background in materials science, basic physics, and chemistry.


Teaching assistant will receive a compensation depending on the workload. The amount of work will be agreed individually. Please note that this position are for Aalto students only.
