As part of the Corporate and Asia Tax Team, you will provide day-to-day tax support to our stakeholders. The role combines strategic thinking with practical execution. Working closely with the Tax Director and Senior Tax Manager, you will support and manage projects including the implementation of new regulations such as Pillar 2 and Transfer Pricing. You will also handle corporate tax reporting and compliance across jurisdictions. Acting as an individual contributor, this role requires a technical, hands-on candidate who is detail-oriented, with strong organizational and communication skills. This role is based in Hong Kong.
Responsibilities:
Corporate Reporting and Compliance
- Ensure compliance to local rules and regulations, and reporting and filing requirements under OECD regarding Transfer Pricing and Pillar 2 under BEPS.
- Review and consolidate tax reporting for the group.
- Prepare or review corporate tax compliance in Hong Kong and other tax jurisdictions in Asia.
- Prepare or review Transfer Pricing documentation within the Asian region with the collaboration with the Global Transfer Pricing team
Advisory & projects
- Support and manage ad hoc projects, such as tax enquiries/ audit cases, tax incentive, group restructuring and tax planning across regions.
- Collaborate frequently with external and internally parties, such as local advisors, auditors, tax authorities, local and regional finance and tax teams, legal team etc.
- Identify and drive process improvement, such as process automation in daily or routine operations, provide training to relevant parties.
- Refine standard operating procedure and workflows if necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or relevant disciplines with professional qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of tax experience gained from listed and sizable companies
- In-depth knowledge of Transfer Pricing / HK / PRC tax laws and issues
- Global or regional tax exposure is an added asset
- Strong research and data analytical skills and technical writing ability,
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Mature and able to work independently
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize different requests
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese
- Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Tax Manager
