The Tax Manager will report to the U.S. Director of Tax covering all areas of tax planning, tax accounting and tax compliance. This is a new role in an exciting dynamic company and will evolve over time.
This role will be based in Boston and in the office 1-2 days/week. This could also include travel up to 5%.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist in preparation and review of the Company’s quarterly and annual tax provisions and related financial statement disclosures in accordance with IFRS
Coordinate and oversee outsourced tax processes including U.S. federal, state and international (Canada, Brazil, Australia, etc.) direct and indirect tax filings
Work with internal cross functional teams and external tax advisors to document, prepare, implement and monitor transfer pricing policies and procedures
Assist in developing global tax strategy including planning strategies, including performing tax research, analytical work and modeling related to mergers and acquisitions, effective tax rate calculations, internal tax forecasts and draft memorandum
Assist in performing and documenting internal controls to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance
Assist in resolving tax audits and notices issued by tax authorities
Monitor and assess impact of changes in U.S. and international tax law
Assist in improving, maintaining and developing all tax related processes
Act as a resource to other functional departments of the Company seeking tax advice
Perform all other related duties as assigned
Desired Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in Accounting required
CPA and/or Master’s Degree in Taxation preferred
Minimum of 5+ years of directly related tax experience in a public accounting and/or publicly traded multinational corporate environment
Experience with tax provision calculations and financial reporting required (IAS 12 and/or ASC 740)
Proactive, detail-oriented self-starter with a hands-on approach and willingness to take on challenging projects
Communicates effectively at all levels while managing multiple priorities and building strong collaborative relationships
For applicants in the United States: The annual base salary hiring range for this position is $96,000.00 - $132,000.00 USD. This range reflects our good faith estimate at the time of posting. Individual compensation is determined using objective, inclusive, and job-related criteria such as relevant experience, skills, demonstrated competencies and internal equity. This means actual pay may differ from the posted range when justified by these factors. Because market conditions evolve, pay ranges are reviewed regularly and may be adjusted to remain aligned with external benchmarks.This job is eligible to participate in our short-term and long-term incentive programs, subject to the terms and conditions of those plans and applicable policies. It also includes a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to retirement savings plans, health benefits and other benefits subject to the terms of the applicable plans and program guidelines.
