What will you bring to the team.
The Senior Financial Analyst is a key finance position actively supporting the company’s forecasting, planning, and reporting processes. The role coordinates and consolidates cross-functionally to establish our internal financial expectations as part of our monthly forecasting and annual planning processes. This person makes financial model recommendations to drive the company’s growth strategy. The person in this position is skilled with modelling, scenario analysis, and solution P&L building & benchmarking to evaluate business outcomes. The Senior Financial Analyst works with the expense, cost, and capital finance leads, accounting team, business intelligence team, and several functions outside of finance, including the Solution Group & Business Strategy, Sales, Sales Operations, and Supply Chain teams. The person in this role must be skilled at working with employees from all levels of the business to develop solid financial projections which align to the corporate strategy.
What will you be doing:
- Collaborates with Solution Group & Business Strategy, Business Intelligence, and employees at all levels of the business to develop monthly forecasts to meet our strategic goals.
- Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
- Report on financial performance and preparing for regular leadership reviews.
- Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Create recommendations based in extensive modelling and scenario analysis to be presented to management and executives.
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization.
- Identify and drive process improvements.
- Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
- Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models.
- Defends forecast recommendations and develops a final forecast agreement with management.
Naturally to be successful in this role, you must have and know of:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or equivalent combination of education or experience.
- 6-8 years of related financial experience, preferably working in a B2B multinational organization.
- Ability to be accountable for the closure of all issues related to completing tasks on schedule.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Experience using an ERP system, preferably Oracle.
- Progressive commercial forecast and risk assessment experience.
- Skillset in financial statement analysis, including thorough understanding of key financial ratios and their relevance to decision-making practices.
- Fluent in English.
- Background managing fluctuation analysis of periodic financial results versus budget or forecast, versus prior period.
- Partnering with a wide array of internal and external business partners and proactively identify solutions to complex accounting or financial issues.
- Requires executive level presentation skills.
Nice to have:
- Master’s degree preferred in finance or MBA.
- Strong management and leadership skills.
- General understanding about local and international financial practices.
- Familiarity with local accounting standards including US GAAP.
- Experience working in a global, matrixed company environment across multiple time zones is a plus.
