Job Description:

About the Role:

We are seeking a Tax Analyst to join our Finance team based in Oak Brook, Illinois. This role supports the Tax function by assisting with tax provision, compliance, and planning activities across U.S. and international requirements.

In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting, maintain compliance with applicable regulations, and support business objectives. This position offers the opportunity to build foundational expertise in tax accounting, compliance, and planning while contributing to process improvements and automation initiatives within the Tax function.

You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

  • Prepare quarterly and annual U.S. and international tax provisions in accordance with U.S. GAAP, including ASC 740
  • Support compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, including documentation and control processes
  • Assist with accounting for uncertain tax positions, including preparation of supporting documentation and reserve analysis
  • Prepare U.S. taxable income calculations and support international tax reporting and informational filings
  • Prepare federal and state income tax compliance workpapers and supporting calculations
  • Prepare extension filings and quarterly estimated tax payments
  • Support tax planning, structuring, and special projects, including mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
  • Conduct research related to federal and state income tax matters, including compliance, audits, and regulatory changes
  • Support fixed asset tax analysis and reporting activities
  • Assist with development of tax rate forecasts and related analysis
  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, and other cross-functional teams to support tax-related activities
  • Maintain relationships with external advisors and support audit activities
  • Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities, including automation and process enhancements

Important Details:

  • This is a full-time hybrid role based in Oak Brook, Illinois.
  • The anticipated compensation for this position ranges from $64,000 - $96,000 USD annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics and business or organizational needs. For certain roles, the successful candidate may be eligible for annual discretionary merit compensation award, bonus and equity pay.

You’ll fit right in if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
  • Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation preferred
  • Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of experience in a corporate tax department or public accounting firm preferred
  • Experience with tax provision and federal income tax compliance preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification or progress toward certification preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to apply sound judgment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Experience with tax software such as OneSource preferred
