Brambles

Talent and Learning Manager

Macquarie Park, New South Wales, Australia Full time

CHEP helps move more goods to more people, in more places than any other organization on earth via our 347 million pallets, crates and containers. We employ approximately 13,000 people and operate in 60 countries. Through our pioneering and sustainable share-and-reuse business model, the world’s biggest brands trust us to help them transport their goods more efficiently, safely and with less environmental impact.

What does that mean for you? You’ll join an international organization big enough to take you anywhere, and small enough to get you there sooner. You’ll help change how goods get to market and contribute to global sustainability. You’ll be empowered to bring your authentic self to work and be surrounded by diverse and driven professionals. And you can maximize your work-life balance and flexibility through our Hybrid Work Model.

Job Description

  • Global market leader in sustainability, supply chain and logistics
  • Focus on implementing leadership and functional capability
  • Innovative, inclusive and supportive culture | Flexible/hybrid work options

Lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of learning, leadership development, and talent initiatives that build organisational capability

Are you an experienced Talent, Learning and Development professional looking to join a global ASX listed organisation and take the next step in your career?

About the Job

This is a pivotal role within our HR team, responsible for leading Talent and Learning for Australia while operating as part of a highly connected regional and global T&L community. Based at Macquarie Park and reporting to the Talent & Learning Lead, AMETA (Asia Pacific, Middle East, Turkey and Africa), you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our people have the skills and capabilities needed today - and for the future.

As the Talent & Learning Manager for Australia, you’ll partner closely with HRBPs, business leaders and global T&L colleagues to design and deliver solutions that accelerate capability, strengthen succession pipelines, uplift leadership, and create outstanding learning experiences. You’ll be both strategic and hands‑on, shaping the market’s talent plan while driving execution with pace, creativity and influence.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a matrixed environment, enjoys variety, and is motivated by creating real business impact through people development.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Lead the delivery of talent management and learning solutions for Australia, aligned to country priorities and AMETA strategy.
  • Define capability priorities for the AU market and build strategies to close skill and knowledge gaps - including those related to transformation and future‑focused capabilities.
  • Partner with HRBPs and leaders to embed the Integrated Talent Cycle: performance, talent reviews, succession planning and strategic workforce planning.
  • Strengthen succession pipelines by identifying talent, assessing readiness, shaping Individual Development Plans and stewarding long‑term career development.
  • Design and deliver learning experiences across multiple modalities - virtual, in‑person workshops, team interventions and online solutions - ensuring high‑quality learner impact.
  • Conduct needs analyses and provide strategic recommendations to address capability challenges, leveraging global and regional content while creating bespoke local solutions where needed.
  • Lead the local execution of our global and regional Talent and Learning solutions including the design and delivery of country-based learning plans

What will ensure your success

  • Significant experience in both Learning & Development and Talent Management, ideally within global or matrixed organisations.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement and measure T&L programs that uplift capability and drive business outcomes.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, consulting and relationship‑building skills.
  • Familiarity with learning platforms, analytics tools, and digital learning technologies.
  • Experience working with a non-salaried, blue-collar workforce desirable
  • Ability to challenge constructively, innovate, navigate ambiguity and work with agility.
  • Strong project and change management capability.
  • Highly effective communicator with strong influencing skills across levels and functions.
  • Relevant HR, OD or L&D qualifications; coaching or assessment certifications highly regarded.
