Are you energized by a fast-paced environment where priorities shift, volume is high, and no two days look the same? We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist who thrives in motion and knows how to keep hiring moving - quickly, thoughtfully, and with purpose.

In this role, you’ll support a high-needs Warehouse and Transportation division, owning the full recruitment lifecycle from intake through offer. Your week will be highly execution-focused, with a strong emphasis on high-volume phone screens, rapidly qualifying candidates, scheduling interviews, and presenting offers. Success in this role requires sharp prioritization, strong judgment, and the ability to pivot as hiring needs change. You’ll serve as a trusted partner to hiring managers- guiding decisions, setting expectations, and driving momentum - while ensuring a positive, professional candidate experience.

Essential Functions

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for Warehouse and Transportation roles at our Lithia Springs, GA Distribution Center, including both new and replacement requisitions.

  • Operate with urgency in a high-volume environment—conducting a large number of phone screens each week to quickly assess, qualify, and move candidates forward.

  • Partner closely with hiring managers to understand evolving needs, align on priorities, and keep the hiring process moving efficiently.

  • Post requisitions, screen applicants, coordinate and schedule interviews, facilitate interview debriefs, and advise on offer parameters.

  • Prepare and present employment offers to candidates, ensuring timely and professional communication.

  • Maintain accurate and compliant records within Workday (Applicant Tracking System), in accordance with company policies and government requirements.

  • Track and manage workload using recruiting metrics and KPIs such as Time to Fill, Quality of Hire, Hiring Manager Feedback, and Candidate Feedback.

  • Maintain recruitment reporting including position control lists, time-to-fill data, turnover metrics, and related analytics.

  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies to drive applicant flow, including proactive sourcing of passive candidates and collaboration on social media or job posting campaigns.

  • Create and utilize interview guides, evaluation tools, and behavioral-based screening methods.

  • Conduct structured screening interviews to assess work history, education, skills, availability, and compensation expectations while promoting Gordon Food Service (GFS) as an employer of choice.

  • Participate in project work and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.

  • Perform other duties as needed to support the Talent Acquisition team and business goals.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years of recruiting, customer service, or sales experience
    OR

  • No degree with 5+ years of recruiting, customer service, or sales experience and demonstrated business acumen

  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred

  • Is adaptable, resilient, and energized by supporting a high-needs operational division where priorities can change quickly.

Work Environment & Schedule

This position is onsite at our Lithia Springs, GA Distribution Center four (4) days per week, with the opportunity to work remotely one (1) day per week. Regular onsite presence is essential to effectively partner with hiring managers, support urgent hiring needs, and stay closely connected to the operation.
