ABOUT THE ROLE
The Talent Acquisition Partner serves as the primary recruiter of the full-cycle recruiting function at UMass Global. This role oversees talent acquisition for staff, full-time faculty, and adjunct faculty hiring, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience. The TA Partner acts as a partner to hiring managers and internal stakeholders. The position serves as the functional subject matter expert for Workday Recruiting administration and configuration, with responsibility for optimization, maintaining data integrity, and supporting AI-enabled recruiting operations.TYPE OF SUPERVISION:

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Talent Acquisition 60%
Oversee and completely own the end-to-end recruiting function for UMass Global, including requisition intake, job posting oversight, sourcing strategy, applicant review, screening, interview coordination, offer development, and candidate experience management.
Serve as the primary recruiter, managing a requisition load average of 20-25 positions. Conduct intake meetings with hiring managers, reviewing role requirements, timelines, and candidate evaluation practices.
Review applications and screen candidates to assess qualifications, experience, and alignment with position requirements; present qualified candidates and recommendations to hiring managers.
Recommend new hire offer amounts within hiring range using established guidelines; seek approval for offers and communicate the University's compensation and benefits package to candidates.
Manage and improve candidate experience throughout the full hiring lifecycle, maintaining clear communication and a high standard of responsiveness and professionalism.
Communicate and report recruiting data to relevant stakeholders, including time-to-fill, source effectiveness, pipeline conversion, offer acceptance rate, and diversity-related metrics.
Utilize professional social media platforms, including LinkedIn, to proactively source candidates, build talent pipelines, and promote job opportunities and the UMass Global employer brand.
Partner with University Marketing to plan and coordinate recruiting-related content on institutional social media channels (e.g., Facebook, Instagram), ensuring consistent messaging and appropriate branding for open positions and hiring campaigns.
Manage job posting platform partnerships and oversee external employment agency relationships.
Administer pre-employment onboarding activities including background check initiation and orientation coordination with HR Operations to close out the hiring process.
Leverage AI-enabled recruiting tools and platforms to improve sourcing efficiency, screening workflows, scheduling coordination, candidate communications, and recruiting analytics, while monitoring outcomes for quality, consistency, and compliance.
Partner closely with the Faculty Approvals Office to ensure recruiting workflows align with credentialing, approvals, and faculty hiring requirements.
Workday Recruiting Administration 30%
Serve as the functional administrator for Workday Recruiting and maintain a strong working knowledge of Workday configuration to independently support routine updates, business process improvements, testing, and system optimization.
Own recruiting-related data, transactions, business processes, templates, and system workflows in Workday; analyze current processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, compliance, and user experience.
Coordinate updates to Workday Recruiting configuration, templates, notifications, and related setup in alignment with operational needs.
Troubleshoot recruiting related system issues, reconcile discrepancies, and partner with technical partners and stakeholders as needed to support integrations, and resolution of system related issues.
Represent HR recruiting operations in HR/IT functional meetings and provide business requirements, testing support, and process recommendations for system updates and enhancements.
Develop and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analytics to provide insights into recruitment activity, faculty hiring status, onboarding progress, and operational metrics.
Review, recommend, test, and support bi-annual system upgrades and enhancements related to Workday Recruiting and associated tools.
Audit Workday transactions related to recruiting and onboarding; work with stakeholders to reconcile discrepancies, disposition candidates accurately, maintain data integrity, and resolve outstanding Workday tasks.
Support the integration and effective use of AI-based recruiting technologies connected to or used alongside Workday, and evaluate their impact on process efficiency, quality of hire, and compliance.
Other Duties 10%
Process and reconcile expenditures related to recruiting activities, vendor invoices, job postings, and external recruiting support.
Develop and maintain job aids, SOPs, templates, scripts, SharePoint site and process documentation related to recruiting operations and Workday Recruiting workflows.
Utilizing ai tools (ie Scribe.ai, Synthesia.ai), design, develop and maintain hiring manager and interview team toolkits, including job aids and training, evaluation forms, and communication resources that support consistent and compliant hiring practices across the University.
Stay current on emerging recruiting practices, hiring trends, AI-supported talent acquisition tools, and relevant federal and multi-state employment regulations.
Support additional projects and initiatives as assigned.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR LICENSES:
At least 5 years of progressive work experience in Human Resources, with significant focus on full-cycle talent acquisition and recruiting operations.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Higher education recruiting experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience with ATS systems, Workday experience preferred.
Experience using AI-based recruiting tools, talent intelligence platforms, or workflow automation tools in support of recruiting operations strongly preferred.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Strong knowledge of HR functions and talent acquisition practices, including requisition management, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, selection, onboarding, and hiring compliance.
Strong understanding of full-cycle recruiting operations and the ability to independently manage multiple requisitions, stakeholders, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of higher education recruiting practices, including faculty-related hiring preferred.
Demonstrated ability to utilize Workday HCM, particularly Workday Recruiting, for recruiting administration, configuration, reporting, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Working knowledge of Workday configuration concepts and the ability to support or execute updates to business processes, templates, notifications, routing, and related setup.
Familiarity and proficiency with AI-enabled recruiting tools and technologies, including the ability to apply them responsibly to improve efficiency, automate repetitive tasks, support screening and scheduling, and inform decision-making.
Knowledge of and experience with using social media and digital platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) to support employer branding and recruitment marketing in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Ability to create clear, practical SOPs, toolkits, and training materials that enable hiring managers and interview teams to follow consistent, compliant recruiting and interviewing practices.
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data, identify trends, perform audits, and provide data-driven recommendations.
Ability to use Excel functionalities to identify and solve problems and provide data-driven solutions, including sorting, filtering, pivot tables, formulas, and manipulation of large datasets.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with hiring managers, external vendors, and other stakeholders.
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, meet deadlines, exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and manage workload efficiently in a remote work environment.
Machines, Tools, Equipment, Electronic Devices and Software: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Workday HCM, video conference technology (Zoom, Microsoft Teams), AI-enabled recruiting platforms, applicant tracking and sourcing tools, and other recruiting-related systems.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Position may be required to work flexible hours particularly given the need to support stakeholders’ extended hours of operation and may require occasional weekend and/or evening work. Applicants for this position are subject to a background check and a criminal history review.
The hiring range for this position is $76,000-$85,000 per year. Offers are determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographical location, knowledge, skills, years & depth of experience, and equity with internal team members.
