The Team:

The Talent Acquisition team handles both lateral and campus recruitment and plays a crucial and strategic role in growing and evolving the organization.  They are responsible for a full lifecycle approach to bringing new talent to the firm, from interns and entry-level graduates to experienced professionals.

AQR is seeking an experienced recruiter to join our team. The recruiter will be on the front lines of representing AQR and our values for the lateral recruitment process and will work to ensure a positive, high quality candidate and client experience. The recruiter will be thoughtful and consultative in their approach, focusing on the quality and caliber of targeted candidates.

Your Role:

  • Conduct end-to-end recruitment process for a high volume of lateral openings across all departments, including intake, sourcing, assessment, interviews, offer negotiation, and closing
  • Screen and evaluate candidates for technical skill, leadership capabilities, cultural alignment, and long-term potential
  • Influence and partner with demanding stakeholders, ensuring alignment on hiring strategy, process, and timelines
  • Prepare hiring managers for interviews and debriefs; guide them through a structured evaluation process which includes building out job-specific competencies
  • Maintain exceptional communication with candidates, hiring managers, HRBPs, and business leaders.
  • Interface with external recruiters daily regarding lateral searches; negotiate contracts with key terms
  • Compile various reports as needed sometimes on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Provide a high level of customer service to internal clients
  • Provide an exceptional candidate experience to all applicants ensuring a positive impression of AQR
  • Assist in ad hoc HR projects as needed

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years experience in lateral recruiting in house or on the agency side within financial services, asset management, banking, fintech or a top executive search firm
  • Demonstrated success filling a wide variety of roles (investment, research, quant, risk, engineering, business development)
  • Familiarity with compensation structures in financial services
  • Good judgment, common sense, and self-awareness
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to rapid changes gracefully
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and professionalism
  • Ability to prioritize and keep clients informed throughout a search or process
  • Ability to take direction and collaborate on how to best achieve success
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • High degree of professionalism
  • Drive, motivation, and desire
  • Prior knowledge of Greenhouse a plus

The salary range for this role is expected to be $130,000 to $150,000.  This is the range that we in good faith believe is accurate for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, depending upon factors such as skills, experience, location, or other business and organizational needs.  This wage range may also be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
