What this Job Entails:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for aggressively sourcing and recruiting top-performing candidates for management and craft positions. In this role, you will utilize a variety of resources, such as job posting outlets, social media, and working within our current workforce to source and hire talent. This job requires a high-energy individual that is driven to fuel our growing business with talented individuals across all departments. There will be limited daily oversight and a great opportunity to innovate, build, and implement the strategic direction of the department. Ultimately, the responsibilities of this individual are to ensure that Astreya attracts, hires, and retains the best employees, while growing a strong talent pipeline.
Scope:
Applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
Works on problems of moderate scope
Receives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects
Your Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop a detailed knowledge of the company’s culture to create a unique and comprehensive strategy to hiring
Communicate and embrace the career development opportunities that Astreya embodies
Receive and assist with managing all incoming applications to determine whether a competent candidate pool exists within the existing database for open position requirements
Facilitate initial communications and screening interviews so managers are only meeting the most qualified candidates
Proactively communicate with Astreya managers and staff to utilize our employee database and further expand our reach
Participate in completing daily HR duties including postings, sourcing, referrals, interviews, offers, and handoffs
Create and manage social media postings as related to recruitment and company culture
Research the current industries recruiting strategies and refine ours to be on the cutting edge
Coordinate travel for potential candidates for interviews
Attend and/or facilitate career fairs at select universities or other venues

Required Qualifications/Skills:
Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 2 to 5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Builds productive internal and external working relationships
Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
Understanding of how to use social media to attract and engage active and passive technical talent
Proficient user of MS Office, including Outlook and Excel
Physical Demand & Work Environment:
Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing
Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment
Must be able to use a computer
Must have the ability to communicate effectively
