Typical Accountabilities
- Manages teams supporting the oncology brand strategy, ensuring effective collaboration between the Field Medical Liaison Team, internal cross functional teams, and external stakeholders
- Potentially oversees clinical trials and/or patient safety activities
- Ensures that all work is complaint with AstraZeneca standards and external regulation
- Maintains relationships with healthcare professionals and other external stakeholders to develop a better understanding of their information needs and respond accordingly
- Provides scientific consultancy to support key meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Oversees and delivers education workshops with the local community and medical groups as required
Essential
- Bachelor’s Degree in life science, at least 5 years pharmaceutical industry working experience in medical affairs function
- Thorough knowledge and experience within the area of field medical liaisons or advisors
- Ability to manage incoming insights or requests in a timely manner and take action when appropriate
- Ambitious, collaboration-mindset and demonstrate leadership to influence, good communication skills
- Experience of managing clinical trials and projects
- Knowledge of legislation relevant to pharmaceutical sales, marketing, and market access
Desirable
- Advanced Degree in life science (Master, PhD, MD)
- Connections in the local medical community
- People management or coaching experience in medical affairs
