This is 100% onsite role, which demands +50% of the time performing field activities and covers on-call shifts outside of working hours.
To operate and maintain RF and MW Sites within the Network within agreed SLAs to maintain service to our customers. An Engineer conducts 1st line maintenance on RF and MW Sites. These activities will also include electrical supply sub systems and the various antenna systems deployed on the network.
An Engineer will also be involved in specialist activities including but not limited to radio interference detection, microwave link optimization or Switch infrastructure maintenance. Provide 1st line support to Radio Planners to assist with the resolution of customer reported coverage cases and with interference related site issues.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to Network Incidents
Partake in a call out rotation
Complete planned maintenance procedures
Site planned maintenance visual inspection and functional check
Structural Inspections
Lightning Protection Inspections
Customer Control Room inspections
Site and Master Site operation, maintenance and troubleshooting
Capacity upgrades/downgrades
Microwave transmission operation and maintenance
MUX/DEMUX operation and maintenance
Coordinate and work with sub contractors supplemental support services.
Mobile site asset deployment and recovery
Maintain the installation of the system in compliance with Motorola R56 Standard and Guidelines

Specific Knowledge/Skills
Open to applications from: (1) Last year students of engineering programs (Telecommunications, Electrical, or Electronics) with full time availability. (2) Recent graduates or early-career professionals of Engineering programs (Telecommunications, Electrical, or Electronics). (3) Graduated of technical degrees (Telecommunications, Electrical, or Electronics) with relevant experience.
2+ years of experience in the telecommunications field, IT is a plus.
At least upper intermediate level English to attend business calls.
Driver's license
Knowledge of:
Radio frequency principles
Transmission theory
LMR, P25 or TETRA networks
Microwave transmission systems
AC/DC power systems
Deployment of generators
Windows / Linux basic OS administration knowledge
Networking IP configuration
