We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join the HVOR OST Product development group. You are someone with demonstrated success and industry experience as Systems Engineer with automotive/HVOR products.
In this position, the Systems Engineer will serve as a key technical contributor. The Systems Engineer will be working in a cross functional team on systems engineering aspects of the V-model, starting with conceptualization, writing requirements, functional and technical design, System FMEA, check & optimize, verification, integration and finally the validation. In your role, you will support engineers to integrally manage all systems engineering aspects. You will maintain and develop knowledge and expertise resulting in state-of-the-art approaches to serve our customers. The Systems Engineer may, at times, also analyze, identify root cause, and support to resolve issues as they occur.
General Responsibilities
• Key participant in the development of end-user tools for data analysis, reporting and work flow processes with database communication
• Collaborate on analyzing the existing software and improving the processes
• Organize the Design and Test Lab departments on requirements of new functionality
• Key participant in integration of in-house software for our test equipment
• Taking part in on-site software debugging, machines further adaptation and optimization
Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.

General Responsibilities
- Understand Product Requirements. Define system requirements, System FMEA, architecture, and interfaces to meet product requirements. Define risk analysis and industry standards. Conducts system design analysis to select key components and coordinates build and design integration.
- Incorporates essential operating mechanisms of systems engineering of Automotive/HVOR products, incorporates design and engineering principles and adheres to regulations.
- Works together to support product verification and validation planning, resolution of technical integration issues, functional safety, system testing and coordination and interfaces with cross functional team & customer.
- Conducts design reviews as part of the product development process to ensure customer requirements are met and the designs are manufacturable, serviceable, and reliable. In addition, it does the same for subsystem requirements and product integration.
- Lead and support the development of systems engineering in R&D projects.
- Create adequate system requirements and designs for products, solutions.
- Deploy best systems engineering practices in Automotive/HVOR product development via training & coaching to enhance maturity.
- Determine systems engineering efforts. Track activities, requirements & schedules.
- Create, track, document and summarize customer deliverables.
- Design, analyze and contribute to improve systems engineering activities.
- Work in close collaboration with global team to ensure systems are built, configured, and prepared correctly as per customer requirements.
- Review systems engineering activities.
- Take ownership of deliverables and drive independently.
- Contribute towards excellence in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Work closely with Project Manager and other team members
Experience
- 4 to 7 years of hard-core experience in Systems Engineering.
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.
- Experience in System Requirement Analysis, Management & Traceability.
- Experience in System FMEA.
- Experience with creating architecture, design, and interfaces to meet product requirements, risk analysis and industry standards.
- Experience in System Validation.
- Experience in successfully developing complex products for Automotive/HVOR Industry.
- Experience to conduct system design analysis to select key components and coordinates build and design integration.
- Experience conducting cross-discipline feasibility and trade off studies to evaluate electronic, mechanical, and software performance from subsystem to system level.
- Strong understanding of System Design process.
- Experience of Analytical and architectural thinking, system view, physical insight, flexibility to deliver sustainable results and creative solutions.
- Experience working with Software, Hardware, Mechanical & V & V Team.
- Experience in reviewing System Verification and Validation plan.
- Experience with Serial communication: CAN (J1939, UDS, CAN Open), LIN, and SPI are major plus.
- Experience in Functional Safety Processes & Standards (IEC-61508, ISO-13849, ISO-25119, ISO- 19014, and/or ISO-26262) are major plus.
- Strong communication skills: oral, written and presentation.

Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical/Electronics/Electronics & Communications/Instrument & Control/Embedded Systems or equivalent required.
