What We Are Looking For:
As a Systems Engineer you will be a critical member of the corporate engineering team. This role will have a strong emphasis on customer service. This is a role that requires individuals to be versatile in their skillsets ranging from configuring and supporting SaaS infrastructure, to more traditional IT Systems Infrastructure and Directory Services. This position provides technical support for both hardware and software system administration to call Bandwidth employees. This position requires a strong background in system engineering and quality coding or scripting abilities in both Windows and Linux
What You'll Do:
- Strong advocate for quality coding and practices, proposes effective solutions to difficult or persistent problems.
- Consistently solve complex problems in a robust, scalable, and performant way.
- Design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Virtual infrastructure.
- Use scripting to solve for automation, updating, or correcting other issues with systems or services
- Maintain and troubleshoot IDaaS systems, including auditing and the add/remove of SaaS applications and services
- Manage and support enterprise tools such as JAMF, Intune, Active Directory, and IDaaS platforms, including SaaS
integrations.
- Implement and maintain server infrastructure, including physical and virtual environments, OS configuration, and
hardware support.
- Maintain, and troubleshoot Active Directory authentication, group policy, and other services
- Support the security patching, server hardening and incident remediation relating to systems infrastructure
- Provide tier 2 and 3 support to internal helpdesk team and end users as needed
- Champion clear and effective written and verbal communication within the team and across the organization.
- Identify areas of unnecessary complexity and implement strategic simplifications or automations.
- Detect root cause to problems and identify patterns and solutions.
- Consistently demonstrates solid judgment in technical concerns.
- Find new products and recommend innovative solutions in order to improve existing systems
What You Need:
- Education:
- Bachelor, or relevant experience
- Experience:
- Knowledge:
- AWS, SaaS, Active Directory, Virtualization, Backup, Disaster Recovery, Okta
- Skills:
- Active Directory and identity systems (e.g., IDaaS, group policy), SaaS administration and integration, scripting for automation (PowerShell, Bash, or similar), virtualization (Nutanix or equivalent), basic hybrid cloud support (e.g., Azure/AWS system administration), endpoint management (JAMF, Intune), familiarity with enterprise backup platforms such as Rubrik, and team leadership and people management.

- Design and implementation of virtual environments, Azure, SaaS, Okta, JAMF, Jira, IDM, Advanced Active Directory services,
- Skills:
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, hybrid cloud integration strategies, system performance tuning across on-prem and cloud, automated configuration management, zero-trust principles, compliance and audit automation, advanced monitoring and observability, and disaster recovery planning for hybrid environments, and experience with enterprise backup and edge file services platforms
