Allegro High Voltage Business Unit is looking for a Systems Engineer to join our Isolated Gate Drivers Product Line. The team develops isolated gate drivers that include an optimized power transfer system from primary to secondary. Focus application segments are vehicle electrification, solar energy, and datacenter infrastructure.
What You’ll Do
Evaluate new products. Generate the relevant supporting collaterals (datasheets, application notes, system and application diagrams, evaluation boards, models, tools etc.).
Hands-on lab bench evaluations, system and board level debugging, and prototype demonstrations.
Bring quick resolution during project execution and customer support by interfacing across different functional groups such as design, applications, test, verification, etc.
Work closely with technical marketing and FAE teams to support customers and product promotion. Generate technical presentations, training material and competitive analysis reports.
Engage lead customers to promote and provide expert application-level support to enable design-in activities and drive new design wins. On-site support is required.
Act as the main technical interface on new products with customers and FAE teams. Support and train FAE teams and sales on new and existing products.
Who You Are
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electronics engineering, electrical and computer engineering or related field.
2+ years of hands-on experience in power IC products application, power semiconductors or power conversion system design. Familiarity with the most common power conversion topologies.
Familiar with lab tools such as oscilloscope, DMM, power supplies, e-loads, frequency analyzer, etc.
Experience with simulation tools like Simplis, PLECS etc. preferred
Experience in PCB design/layout preferred
Fluent communication skills in English, second language (i.e. Mandarin preferred)
Excellent writing and presentation skills
Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
