Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Missile Defense Integration provides an excellent opportunity for an Sr Principal Engineer Systems – RA Systems Engineer Coordinator (25-563) to join our team of talented and diverse professionals. Based in Huntsville, AL, this role is essential in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels.
This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a vital part of the Missile Defense System. It serves as an essential operational platform that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to plan ballistic missile defense operations systematically, monitor the battlefield collectively, and dynamically manage networked sensors and weapons systems to meet global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports layered missile defense capabilities that enable an optimized response to threats at all ranges and during every flight phase. It acts as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations both globally and regionally to improve performance. C2BMC is crucial for all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate current and future missile defense system capabilities.
The purpose of the Regional Applications Systems Engineer Coordinator is to act as the primary technical liaison for software between Regional Applications (RA) cross-functional product teams and Systems Engineering, Verification, Integration, and Test RMAs, supporting system engineering-related efforts.

A Bachelor’s Degree in STEM Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master’s degree (preferred) in a STEM-related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or PhD in a related STEM discipline with 8 years of relevant work experience
Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
Will have professional experience in Software Development and Systems Engineering or related disciplines
Will have significant experience in authoring ICDs, IDDs, and requirements
Must be able to work effectively as part of an experienced team in developing software designs and reviewing systems engineering products and artifacts, while following the program's Software Development Plan (SDP), Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP), and other C2BMC processes and plans
Direct experience with requirements management tools (Jama, IBM DOORS, Polarion, Azure)
Participation in verification & validation & planning or execution (test plan creation, testcase management, defect tracking)
Strong written and oral communication with both technical and non-technical audiences
Will have significant experience leading teams

Primary Level Salary Range: $152,000.00 - $169,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
