Job Description:

  • The System Test Engineer ensures the elicitation of the requirements/KPI’s, the test coverage of the System and System Architecture Requirements and quality of test cases along with the Test Plans.
  • He/she specifies the test cases following the test strategies. He/she ensures that the test environment is set-up correctly.
  • He/she executes the tests.
  • He/she ensures the consistency of the test results with the test specification, the device under test and the relevant System release.
  • He/she reports to the Test Lead or System Validation Technical Project Manager

Responsibilities

  • Ensures executability of the tests along with the project plan
  • Develops Test Specification, with traceability from systems test cases to the unique systems requirements to ensure full test coverage of all the system interfaces and stakeholder requirements.
  • Supports the distribution of the System Test Environment
  • Support vehicle integration with OEM teams to integrate active safety sensors including ultrasonic sensors, cameras, driver monitoring cameras, Clusters, PEPS systems
  • Executes bench level and vehicle level testing to cover requirements attributed as such. 
  • Performs smoke test, Regression test, and full validation on Bench level and Vehicle level
  • Execute test drives to validate end user features 
  • Writes automated scrips in order to run automated test cases on bench level. Usage of AI for Automation is a plus.
  • Reports issues found via defect management tools (Jira, CorAlm…).
  • Aligns the System Test Specification with the Function Manager CApproves the execution of the Test Cases
  • Prepares the Test Reports
  • Supports the closing of the System test activities
  • Performs and participates in peer document (e.g. test plan, test specifications) reviews.
  • In case of deviations, escalates to the System Test Lead and provides adequate information and proposals for decision making
  • Perform DVP&R or homologation tests according to customer requirements
  • Trace analysis regular use of CAN and LIN interface tools such, Canoe, Canalyzer
  • Innovation and development of alternative test solutions to existing strategy

Other Specifications

  • Good knowledge of embedded software and system
  • Experience in system engineering and testing (requirements analysis/test case writing methodology, traceability concept, test case execution, automation, reporting)
  • Knowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE®)
  • Automation scripting
  • AI usage is a plus

Education/Training

  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 year relevant experience in system test/design in multifunctional environment
  • Knowledge in automotive development and application of active safety features is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good problem solving and critical thinking skills to understand new challenges and new technologies
  • Confident, articulate, self-motivated, determined & energetic. Must be able to engage with customers and build strong relationships.
  • Bench and vehicle test experience
  • Automation scripting
  • Valid driver license license is required
  • Experience in AI usage is an advantage.
  • Team player.

Preferred

  • CAN communication protocol knowledge (CANoe, CANalyzer)
  • Capl script knowledge
  • Knowledge of DAS/ADAS
  • DFMEA knowledge
  • Familiarity with ultrasonic / camera based systems will be considered a plus (object sensing technology)
  • ASPICE, ISO26262 and Cyber Security training are an advantage.
  • Self-driven and motivated
