Duties of the System Manager in this EMEA area of operations include the following:
Provide periodic technical assistance for all aspects of Motorola ASTRO 25 ELMR system capabilities including, but not limited to ASTRO 25 technology, Project 25 technology, Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) encryption knowledge, capacity management, Over-The-Air- Rekeying (OTAR) operations, dispatch console systems operations, Project 25 subscriber radios, system fleet-mapping, historical/system/patching reports, and applicable database operations.
Provide primary maintenance/patching support for ELMR Zone core equipment including servers, network switches, routers, work stations, and storage devices including coordinating reboots.
Coordinate and complete all MSI Technical Notification (MTN) applications with the GSP configuration manager, lead USAF engineer, and field service manager.
Track and assist with system integrations and/or modifications from the Master Site. Provide support for remote site work (i.e. discoveries, core updates etc) and ensure all efforts are validated, alarms cleared, and fully tested for functionality by the remote field teams.
Perform planned maintenance on the system as required.
Ensure backups of critical servers are sent to and received by Backup and Recovery (BAR) servers.
Facilitate the Risk Management Framework (RMF) cybersecurity accreditation by assisting Cybersecurity Engineers gather system information and remediate vulnerabilities.
Participate in cybersecurity planning meetings.
Provide updates for the existing System Authorization Boundary Topology diagram and other engineering documents (network diagram, rack elevations, metadata, etc.) to the USAF system engineer.
Identify, validate, and track all hardware changes for cases worked ensuring case notes include the Motorola and third party (if applicable) model/part number, serial number and IUID number.
Maintain/program/optimize/troubleshoot/repair radio repeaters, dispatch/communications consoles required to support both trunked and conventional LMR systems.
Provide first level troubleshooting and case management on a daily basis (business days only) including tracking the cases, reviewing the daily case reports, following up on those cases and ensuring that case notes are detailed and sufficient for sustainment reporting requirements.
Provide administrative reports in direct support of recurring and non recurring contracts as well as one time reports required by management and/or the Program Manager, Quality Manager, or Configuration Manager.
Any other tasks or responsibilities assigned by the Field Service Manager or Program Manager.
Certified technician or equivalent qualification at area of industrial engineering.
Minimum of 9+ years experience working in Cybersecurity and/or IT System Administration field.
Strong knowledge with Motorola Solutions P25 Trunking Network Systems.
Strong knowledge of communications systems with the ability to interface with the customer technical representatives and provide (directly or indirectly) appropriate technical support.
In possession of one or more A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, SSCP certifications. Higher certifications such as CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, or CCSP will satisfy this requirement.
Ability to obtain US Dept of War Secret clearance level
Solid working knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) theory.
Ability to use MS applications, Google email, & software tools.
Excellent knowledge & demonstration of hardware and software tools available for both Radio Frequency (RF) and Networking equipment.
