About the Role

The Software Program/Delivery manager will assume the product development and program management ownership of all Ready Connect product development and deliverables within SBU Connectivity for key product line (Telematics, Infrastructure or Cyber Security). It shall cover all aspects of product development ranging from requirement analysis, Software system definition, product development, and successful launch of the product. You will be required to work along with product engineering team and make sure that deliverables are falling place on time with good quality. In addition to this, you will do program management activities required for Ready Connect product organization and support product managers for complete product lifecycle.

You will be expected to lead a SAFe Agile organization that establishes maturity in all aspects of software development and delivery. The role will require technical expertise in a variety of areas depending upon product line responsibility, including 4G/5G network connectivity, Satellite Communication, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Edge Computing, V2X, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, automotive cyber security while demonstrating a solid understanding of the ecosystem and use cases that drive the business.

Your Team

This position will be individual contributor role which will work along with Product Engineering, Product Management and System Architecture team of Ready Connect.


What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with the stakeholders including Product Engineering, Business Lead, Product Management and System Architect to make sure that product development is happening on time with good quality
  • Collaborate with the stakeholders including Business Lead, Product Management and cross functional departments like procurement and finance to execute program management office related activities required for successful introduction of new products and for maintaining good financial health of product lines.
  • Co-ordinate with the engineering team responsible for both hardware & software components associated with the products/platforms/solutions for successful execution. Streamline engineering processes include SAFe agile framework, APQP, best practices & tools.
  • Manages the plan, schedule, and cost for the execution of the telematic products and support product management.
  • Drive innovation related activities with system architecture team and maintain roadmap for sw features and ensure that approved roadmap is executed successfully.
  • Build and develop a metrics and data driven development and maintain dashboards for product reviews.
  • Maintain a culture within the team that promotes ownership. Identify, track & demonstrate continuous improvement across KPIs.
  • Engage key stakeholders to identify engineering requirements, prioritization & resolve deployment challenges.
  • Document all best practices and learnings to maintain growth mindset in a team.

What You Need

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering
  • Program delivery expertise with a solid understanding of SAFe Agile practices.
  • A minimum of 14 years of working experience in the automotive or technology industry.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills to sail through matrix organization
  • Good projects and operations driving abilities with excellent communication skills
  • Expertise in managing PMO related activities required for product development
  • A broad technical background with general knowledge of cellular and network technology (4G,5G, V2X, Satellite communication), standards, mobile devices, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, cloud-based services, software architectures, and automotive-grade products and processes
  • Ability to communicate advanced and complex concepts and ideas persuasively and concisely to all levels
