Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.

About This Job

The SVP, Relationship Manager – Specialty Deposits is responsible for originating, structuring, and retaining complex, high value specialty deposit relationships that support Axos Bank’s low cost funding strategy. This role owns senior client relationships end to end and serves as a market facing leader within targeted specialty verticals.

Responsibilities:

  • Originate and grow specialty deposit relationships, with a focus on complex, high‑value operating and relationship‑anchored balances across targeted specialty verticals such as Title & Escrow, Fintech, Payments, Property Management, and Fiduciary clients
  • Serve as the primary relationship owner from prospecting through onboarding, stabilization, expansion, and long‑term retention of specialty deposit clients
  • Deliver meaningful net new deposit growth while maintaining a healthy forward pipeline and optimizing deposit mix to support cost of funds, liquidity stability, and balance durability
  • Manage and grow an assigned specialty deposit portfolio, balancing new production with runoff management and maintaining low attrition through proactive relationship oversight
  • Conduct regular relationship reviews addressing account structure, pricing, risk considerations, treasury utilization, and growth opportunities
  • Apply disciplined pricing across deposits, earnings credit rate (ECR), and treasury services to ensure profitability while remaining competitive within specialty verticals; escalate exceptions as required
  • Drive adoption of treasury management services, including ACH, wires, remote deposit capture, and entitlements, ensuring clients are fully integrated into the Bank’s operating ecosystem
  • Partner closely with Treasury, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Onboarding teams to ensure seamless client experience and adherence to regulatory, BSA/AML, and KYC requirements
  • Act as a senior representative of the Bank in the marketplace, cultivating referral networks, representing the Bank at industry events, and reinforcing the Bank’s specialty deposit value proposition

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
  • 12+ years of experience in commercial banking, specialty deposits, treasury management, or related financial services roles, with demonstrated success managing complex deposit‑focused relationships
  • Deep understanding of specialty deposit structures, treasury products, pricing dynamics, and regulatory considerations
  • Proven ability to originate and retain large, sophisticated client relationships with multiple entities and operational complexity.
  • Strong relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to influence senior‑level stakeholders
  • Highly collaborative leadership style with the ability to work effectively across internal partners and client teams
