Job Description
Position Summary:
We are looking for a Lead Accounting Assistant to join our collaborative and busy finance team in Roskilde. This is a great opportunity for a structured and proactive Finance professional who enjoys taking ownership and working close to the business.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely handling of trade, inventory, and maintenance supplier transactions. You will oversee the correct registration and coding of incoming invoices, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and manage accruals and prepayments with precision and accountability.
In addition, you will take responsibility for fixed assets, investment accounting and bank reconciliations. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining strong financial controls and supporting operational excellence across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Daily management of supplier invoices, ensuring timely booking and accurate balances
- Perform 3-way matching between purchase orders, goods receipts, and supplier invoices, and follow up on “Goods Received – Invoice Not Received” (GRINR) items
- Collaborate with warehouse and purchasing teams to resolve invoice discrepancies and improve communication workflows
- Identify opportunities and contribute to process improvements in invoice handling and cross-functional coordination
- Run Fixed Assets depreciation, capitalise new assets and write off old assets
- Management and tracking of all investment activities, including new equipment acquisitions
- Support month-end closing activities, including reporting and reconciliations (some work hours flexibility will be needed during peak periods)
- Ideally, help to develop the function to be more efficient by exploring possibilities in existing systems combined with AI
- Participate in internal and external audits
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Relevant education within Finance, Accounting, or Auditing (e.g., Business Administration specialising in Finance
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Accounting or Finance
- Structured, accurate with great attention to detail
- Responsible and able to work independently with both discretion and professionalism
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
- Team-oriented and service-minded with excellent communication skills
- Proven experience with fixed assets management, including depreciation, capitalisation of new assets, and disposal/write-off of assets
- Solid experience with 3-way matching (purchase order, goods receipt, invoice)
- Fluency in English and Danish languages
- Experience from a Finance function in a manufacturing company is preferred
