Background
HPE has committed to achieving zero-carbon across the value-chain by 2040, and 70% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2, and 43% reduction in Scope 3 carbon footprint by 2030. Supply chain and operations represent roughly ~35% of HPE carbon footprint. To make advancements within HPE's long term carbon reduction targets, some near term carbon goals have been set as follows:
(1) Developing product carbon footprint for all HPE products, services and being able to share this information with our customers.
(2) Develop a CO2 platform to track carbon footprint and carbon reduction efforts across manufacturing, assembly (HPE and non-HPE owned), logistics and transportation, material and component sourcing, packaging, spares, refurbished products and inventory management.
What you will do:
The Sustainability Data Solutions Manager will be responsible for collecting business requirements, co-design, develop process maps and roll out of HPE Operations Sustainability CO2 platform, data tools to measure, track the CO2 footprint of HPE Operations and support the data inputs gathering for calculating the CO2 footprint of HPE products and services. This individual will lead E2E data management, solutions requirements development and execution for Operations Sustainability data management efforts to ensure we are able to track our carbon footprint and measure the reduction over time and provide this data to our BUs, Living Progress Team. This individual will collaborate closely with SMEs from Operations sustainability, digital transformation, Operations Engineering, Sourcing, Planning, Logistics, planning teams to drive carbon data management across all Sustainability workstreams. This individual is expected to have expertise in driving data solutions, technology roadmaps based on customers and business needs. This role will be reporting into the Operations Sustainability team, reporting to the Director of Sustainability, HPE Operations. This is a high visibility role with opportunities to dive deep into solving data challenges across all facets of operations (manufacturing, assembly, logistics, supply chain planning, packaging, and ensuring we have a product that meet our bold goals. This role is not expected to be an EXPERT in sustainability, however, is expected to be an expert in data transformation efforts.
