Sustainability Client Success Specialist

The Client Success team helps clients integrate ISS STOXX Sustainability solutions into their investment and stewardship processes. Guided by our mission of “Providing Sustainability expertise that makes the difference,” the team serves as the day to day hub for client interactions and collaborates closely with Sales, Research, and Product. Client Success specialists deliver expert guidance on our solutions (e.g. Climate, biodiversity, controversial weapons), ensure high quality service, and help clients maximize value from our data.

Success in this role requires a strong interest in sustainable and responsible investing, professional curiosity, and an entrepreneurial mindset. You thrive in a client‑facing environment, communicate effectively with internal partners, and bring professionalism, strong organization, and a solution-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor and maintain client satisfaction

  • Manage client inquiries and issue resolution using Salesforce and internal tools

  • Identify at risk accounts and develop retention plans

  • Lead virtual and on site client meetings (training, relationship planning, updates)

  • Help uncover clients with growth potential and surface upsell opportunities

  • Provide subject matter expertise across ISS Sustainability solutions

  • Test and provide feedback on upcoming product features

  • Facilitate interactions between clients and research analysts

  • Assess client reporting needs and coordinate deliverables

  • Share market requirements and client feedback with business leaders

  • Educate clients on key Sustainability developments

Qualifications

  • ~2–5 years of experience in client service or research; exposure to investment management, sustainable/responsible investing, or corporate governance is a plus

  • Experience with SQL strongly desired

  • Positive, proactive, client focused mindset with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences

  • Demonstrated project management skills, including scoping and timeline management

  • Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities

  • Excellent organizational and verbal communication skills

  • Willingness to travel (minimal)

  • High personal and professional integrity

Compensation: The annualized expected compensation range for this role based in Toronto, ON is $70,000 - $80,000 CAD.   The compensation range indicated for this role consists of a base salary and eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. Bonuses are awarded at the company’s discretion and are not guaranteed.  Bonuses may vary based on individual, department, and overall company performance.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and level of education.
