This role primarily supports Prudential’s sustainability policy and regulatory horizon‑scanning initiative by monitoring emerging requirements across key markets and global standards, and translating regulatory developments into clear implications for reporting, data, and governance. In parallel, the Analyst supports finance data transformation initiatives and BAU sustainability reporting, working with Group and LBU stakeholders to ensure regulatory readiness and accurate Sustainability data reporting. The role plays a critical part in maintaining strong governance, audit readiness, and decision‑useful sustainability disclosures.
Policy Monitoring & Compliance
- Support sustainability regulatory initiative by monitoring emerging regulatory and policy developments across key Prudential markets and global standards (e.g. ISSB, HKEX, FCA)
- Assess and synthesise regulatory and policy impacts on Prudential’s sustainability policy, reporting, data requirements, governance frameworks, and control environment and engage Functional SMEs where relevant
- Engage regularly with LBUs to track local regulatory developments, assess readiness, and support timely and consistent implementation across markets.
- Maintain and enhance the Group horizon‑scanning tracker, including monitoring LBU‑level policy developments, implementation status, and key risks or escalation items.
- Sustainability Policy Point of contact for policy queries and support for local queries, supporting annual reviews of policy
Sustainability Data Reporting & Analysis – for external disclosures
- Support quarterly sustainability data validation, acting as the key liaison between Group and LBU Sustainability Makers and Checkers.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and consistent quarterly sustainability reporting across all LBU markets.
- Perform detailed data analysis to identify significant movements, working with LBUs to investigate, explain, and document underlying drivers.
- Develop clear, executive‑level narratives explaining Group‑level sustainability data trends and variances.
- Support internal and external assurance activities, including audit queries, walkthroughs, and remediation actions.
- Deliver training and feedback sessions with Group and LBU stakeholders to strengthen data quality and streamline reporting processes.
- Partner with Technology teams to support reporting system enhancements and continuous process improvement.
Finance Data Transformation
- Support sustainability data transformation initiatives by translating Prudential’s business needs into clear requirements, ensuring FFP+ solutions are fit‑for‑purpose and business‑ready.
- Act as a critical business challenge point to FFP+ delivery teams, constructively pushing back where solutions do not meet quality, control, or sign‑off standards.
- Support testing, change management, and adoption, working with Group and LBU stakeholders to ensure smooth transition into BAU operations and sustained value realisation.
BAU Sustainability initiatives
- Support wider Group Sustainability reporting activities, including ad‑hoc management and regulatory requests.
- Contribute to cross‑functional sustainability initiatives beyond reporting, supporting delivery of the Group’s broader sustainability strategy and outcomes.
Requirements:
- University degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred
- 3-5 years of experiences within Sustainability reporting / Insurance industry highly preferred
- Some experience in regulatory compliance management, preferably in Sustainability
- Knowledge and interests on Sustainability/ESG
- A team player with ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
- Excellent data analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Self motivation and proactiveness
- Ability to see the big picture as well as detailed oriented
- Understanding and empathy of working in multicultural work environments
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is expected
