Job Summary: OPIR Operations Analysts specialize in the tasking, collection, processing, and dissemination of OPIR resources and data. These analysts support OPIR planning and real-time execution by incorporating multi-intelligence (multi-INT) collaborative inputs to address long-term and emerging customer requirements. These analysts also troubleshoot OPIR performance issues and develop and recommend changes
Major Duties:
Qualifications: MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required). Online resumes must demonstrate qualification by providing specific examples and associated results, in response to the announcement's mandatory criteria specified in this vacancy announcement: Demonstrated ability to develop and present briefings to meet the needs of various audiences. Experience working and building relationships with others internal and external to an organization. Demonstrated ability to learn, apply, and train new concepts or techniques to others. Demonstrated experience with research and analysis preferably dealing in computer science and data analysis, including use of critical thinking skills. Knowledge of and familiarity with Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) processes and/or data. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A. Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, International Studies, Mathematics, Operations Research, Political Science, Science, Statistics, Technology, Remote Sensing, Image Science, or a related field. -OR- B. Combination of Education and Experience: A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in any area listed in Option A, plus experience in a GEOINT-related field that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of coursework is equivalent to one year of experience. Candidates should show that their combination of education and experience totals 4 years. -OR- C. Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in a GEOINT-related field that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: Distinguish principal colors and shades/hues of principal colors; Near visual acuity of 20/40 or better with or without corrective lenses DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired: Experience working as part of a cohesive team with demonstrated high quality results or output. Demonstrated personal flexibility and adaptability for shifts/changes in crisis situations. Geospatial-based credentials (academic degrees, certifications, and certificates) are desired. Experience applying intelligence sources to solve problems and issues.
