OnsiteThe Operations Planning Supervisor is responsible for leading the planning team to ensure efficient production and material flow aligned with customer demand, capacity, and inventory targets. This role oversees daily and mid-term planning activities, coordinates cross-functional execution, and drives continuous improvement in planning processes, system accuracy, and on-time delivery performance.
Supervise the creation and maintenance of production plans based on demand forecasts, customer orders, and capacity constraints.
Ensure alignment between Master Production Schedule (MPS), material availability, and shop floor execution.
Monitor daily output versus plan and drive recovery actions for gaps.
Balance demand and supply to minimize shortages, excess inventory, and past-due orders.
Lead and coach production planners / planning analysts to ensure accuracy and accountability.
Set team priorities, monitor workload distribution, and support skill development.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide continuous feedback.
Work closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Customer Service to resolve constraints.
Facilitate shortage reviews and drive escalation when required.
Support S&OP / SIOP processes by providing planning inputs and execution risks.
Ensure accuracy of planning parameters (lead time, safety stock, lot sizing, capacity).
Analyze planning metrics such as:
On-Time Delivery (OTD)
Past Due Orders
Inventory Levels
Schedule Attainment
Prepare dashboards and reports for management review.
Identify planning gaps and implement process improvements.
Drive standardization of planning tools and reports.
Support system enhancements (ERP / planning tools such as Kinaxis, SAP, or equivalent).
On-Time Delivery performance
Schedule adherence / attainment
Inventory turns / excess & obsolete reduction
Past due backlog reduction
Planner productivity and data accuracy
Adheres to and participates in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self and others.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business/Management or related field.
Experience
5–8 years of experience in production planning, supply chain, or operations.
3-5 years in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Advanced Excel and ERP planning systems knowledge
Strong communication and stakeholder coordination
Leadership and team management capability
Experience in manufacturing environment (high-mix or high-volume preferred)
Knowledge of S&OP / SIOP processes
SAP knowledge is required
APICS / CPIM certification is an advantage
