Sr Production Planner

RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:          

Responsible for leading production planning execution and operational alignment to ensure on-time delivery, optimized inventory levels, and effective capacity utilization in a high-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment.

This role serves as a technical and operational reference within the Planning organization and provides leadership continuity in the absence of the MPS or Planning Manager.

Drives planning excellence through Lean Supply Chain principles, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration.

Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

  • Lead development and execution of production schedules based on demand variability, material constraints, and capacity analysis.
  • Perform advanced demand and capacity analysis to support realistic supply plans and service commitments.
  • Monitor and drive On-Time Delivery (CRD vs Promise vs Shipment Date) performance and lead recovery strategies when required.
  • Own Past Due reduction plans and coordinate cross-functional corrective actions with Operations, Procurement, and Commercial teams.
  • Act as escalation point for complex planning scenarios, material constraints, and capacity conflicts.
  • Provide operational decision-making support in the absence of the MPS or Planning Manager.
  • Lead Engineering Change (ECN/ECO) impact analysis, including risk mitigation for excess and obsolete materials.
  • Oversee planning readiness for NPI launches and production ramp-ups.
  • Ensure SAP S/4HANA master data integrity (MRP parameters, lead times, safety stock, capacity settings).
  • Utilize SAP S/4HANA planning, purchasing, and capacity modules to optimize supply execution.
  • Drive inventory optimization strategies for Subassembly and Finished Goods aligned with service targets.
  • Lead root cause analysis for service failures and implement structured corrective action plans.
  • Guide and influence team members in daily planning decisions without necessarily holding formal supervisory authority.
  • Support and drive Lean Supply Chain initiatives including Kanban optimization, pull systems, and continuous flow improvements.
  • Develop scenario modeling and performance analysis using advanced Excel tools.
  • Utilize Power BI to structure data models and support performance visibility and decision-making.
  • Align planning priorities with commercial, product management, and operational strategies.
  • Participate and lead Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote data integrity, process discipline, and planning standardization.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS policies and corporate guidelines.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in production planning within high-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments (electronics industry preferred).
  • SAP S/4HANA (Planning, Purchasing, and Capacity modules)
  • Advanced demand and capacity planning
  • NPI leadership and ramp-up planning
  • Lean Supply Chain and Kanban systems
  • Cross-functional stakeholder management and escalation handling

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced MRP and capacity planning expertise
  • Strong inventory optimization knowledge
  • Advanced Excel (complex modeling, scenario analysis, data structuring)
  • Power BI user (data modeling and table design) – preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Language:

  • Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal) required to communicate effectively with customers, commercial teams, and senior leadership.
