Position Summary:
Coordinates Inventory replenishment and management for multiple inventory locations. Provides back up leadership to department Manager as needed. Assists with inventory projects and Materials Management Information System as requested.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintains adequate and appropriate materials for an effective and efficient inventory/operation for all Inventory locations.
• Develops and maintains inventory levels for all inventory locations.
• Communicates with outside vendors on delivery and price reconciliations.
• Responsible for maintaining Materials Management Information System controls receipts, issues and on hands. Works closely with Distribution Manager on same.
Maintains appropriate inventory level for RGHS and affiliates.
• Provides inventory control for material by ensuring the appropriate min/max levels and accountability/review of computerized management information reports.
• Works with computations regarding Low Unit of Measure (LUM) program.
• Responsible for all the charging of materials to department budgets.
• Responsible for all receiving for multiple inventory locations.
• Review monthly audit and computer reports for inventory.
• Accounts for all incoming materials both stock and non-stock by requesting packing slips with purchase orders.
• Responsible for staging inventory return goods, damaged product, and product recalls for Inventory items.
• Responsible for updating MSDS book on an annual basis.
• Helps coordinate the physical inventory of Print Shop, SPC, Central Stores and Linen when requested.
• Communicates with purchasing staff as needed and required. Assists in coordinating additions, deletions, and changes of materials to the inventory.
• Assists by being on call for the department a minimum of 26 weekends per year and 3 holidays.
• Archive requisitions associated with all locations as required.
• Maintains Materials Management Information system associated with Central Stores, Print Shop, SPC and Linen as needed. Works in coordination with MMIS administrator on same.
Acts as a resource person informing others and relaying information.
• Attend Materials Management team departmental meeting to facilitate communication.
• Communicates with the hospital departments and affiliated facilities on services provided new policies and procedures, quality of services and products, etc.
• Keeps director appraised of functions related to inventory management on a routine basis.
• Assures that high standards of performance are maintained in establishing and completing related tasks.
• Assists in providing leadership to all personnel performing Central Stores, Linen, and Messenger functions as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• RGH Periop Area Specifics Only:
• Coordinates Inventory replenishment and management for the perioperative services.
• Point person for problem resolutions between MM, OR, and SPC teams (MM liaison).
• Assists with inventory projects and Tecsys System on a daily basis.
• Trouble shoots daily Tecsys system issues, documenting root cause/corrective action plan, communicating with all stakeholders as needed (Tecsys SSOM, Lawson team, Case Picking Manager, Clinical, etc.).
• Maintains adequate and appropriate materials for an effective and efficient inventory/operation for perioperative services.
• Work with Materials Management team to manage return to vendors ensuring all proper transactions and documentation is completed.
• Responsible for maintaining Tecsys inventory controls, receipts, issues and on hands. Works closely with Periop Manager on same.
• Helps coordinate the physical inventory of periop area.
Desired Attributes:
• Detail oriented with the ability to give and receive positive and constructive feedback.
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive leadership/supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical, computer, and communication skills.
• Minimum of 3 years experience with supply process and distribution of materials.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or equivalent combination of education or experience.

H - Heavy Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
