The Opportunity

Our Asset Recovery & Logistics team is looking to add a Logistics Coordinator in Calgary or Houston to support freight, customs, and shipment management activities across TC Energy’s North American footprint.

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and organized Logistics Coordinator who has foundational knowledge or exposure to freight coordination, customs documentation, and supply chain processes.

This individual will work closely with the Logistics Analyst and broader team to support day‑to‑day logistics activities that enable timely material movement for business units and projects. They will contribute to customs compliance support, invoicing accuracy, data maintenance, reporting, and collaboration with Supply Chain, warehouse operations, and third‑party logistics providers.

This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in logistics or Supply Chain who is eager to continue to build their experience and grow into more advanced logistics responsibilities over time.

What you’ll do

  • Respond to logistics inquiries: Provide information, gather clarifications, and escalate complex issues to the Logistics Specialist or senior team members.

  • Support shipment bidding: Assist TC Energy staff in bidding shipments to secure the best‑value freight options.

  • Coordinate with external providers: Confirm shipment details and help resolve routine freight or customs issues with carriers and brokers.

  • Assist customs workflows: Review customs invoices, validate billing details, and support documentation accuracy.

  • Monitor shipments: Gather status updates using internal reports and data tools, flagging potential delays or issues.

  • Collaborate cross‑functionally: Work with Supply Chain colleagues, Warehouse Operations, Customs Compliance, and Business Units to support smooth material movement.

  • Support freight Purchase Order (PO) requisitions and maintenance: submit PO requisitions and ensure sufficient funds are allotted to each Purchase Order for multiple legal entities and cost centers.

  • Maintain documentation: Keep SharePoint files, freight PO lists, reference materials, and shipment records organized and up to date.

  • Assist with reporting: Update dashboards, prepare basic freight spend summaries, track shipment volumes, and support carrier/broker performance reporting under guidance from the Logistics Specialist.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement: Support data gathering, documentation updates, and implementation tasks for logistics process enhancements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, customs operations, transportation, or a related field

  • Post‑secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, International Trade, or equivalent experience

  • Basic understanding of freight carriers, customs brokers, or logistics service providers

  • Familiarity with Incoterms, customs basics, or cross‑border shipment processes (coursework or practical exposure considered an asset)

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems

  • Proficiency with Excel and comfort working with datasets, reports, or logistics information

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Exposure to working with customs brokers or international freight partners

  • Experience supporting logistics, warehouse, or supply chain teams through co‑ops, internships, or entry‑level roles

  • Interest in pursuing certifications such as CITT, CITP, SCMP, or similar

This position requires candidates to:

  • Have current, valid authorization to travel internationally (including but not limited to Canada, US and Mexico)

  • Travel occasionally for training, team meetings, or site visits (estimated up to 5%)
