Salary Range: $169279 - $197200 Per Year

Job Summary: You will serve as a Supervisory Financial Management Analyst in the Programs and Resources Division of HQ US MARINE CORPS.

Major Duties:

  • You will serve as the principal advisor to senior managers on the development, implementation and, revision of financial management policies, plans, and programs to facilitate the effective, efficient and timely application of financial resources.
  • You will generate, recommend, and implement new and revised financial management concepts, methodologies, policies, and strategies in support of the organization's programs.
  • You will direct and/or perform continuing program execution review, analysis and appraisal of the major operating and support programs within the organization.
  • You will provide analysis and advisory support on financial transactions and program execution; develop reports on fund status and obligations; and ensure accurate, timely financial management and budget execution reporting.
  • You will prepare and review responses to external audits involving financial management policies and procedures; conduct evaluations of financial issues identified in audits and budget reviews; and recommend corrective actions and alternatives.
  • You will assign and prioritize work; develop standards and evaluate performance; provide technical and administrative guidance; support hiring and promotions; address complaints and discipline; and coordinate employee training and development.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing budget processes (e.g. PPB&E), including the formulation, justification, and execution of complex appropriation budgets; leading and developing a team of financial professionals, including performance management and recruitment; Aligning financial operations with high-level strategic guidance and implement significant process improvements; briefing senior leadership (e.g. General Officer/SES) and coordinating on budgetary matters with external organizations or partners (e.g. OSD, OMB, and Congress) Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
