The Supply Planner plays one of the most visible and critical roles in ensuring our company has the right products, at the right places, at the right times. Through a thorough understanding of supply chain dynamics, you will work to optimize our inventory levels at all locations around the globe, ensuring our customers have access to the products they need.
This role is required onsite at the Bozeman, MT location.
Responsibilities:
- Demand Planning
- Conduct monthly meetings with Sales to review the accuracy of and make changes to the sales forecast and discuss any anomalous demand signals.
- Review the accuracy of and make changes to inventory policies (e.g. safety stock levels).
- Communicate domestic supply recommendations to the Production Coordinator
- Seek to maximize inventory turn rates and fulfillment rates
- Approve Sales Orders for domestic finished goods over the threshold of $5000.00 or 50 units per order.
- Supply Planning
- Create finished goods purchasing plan based on demand, on-hand and in-transit goods.
- Transmit Purchase Orders to FOB factories.
- Coordinate with factories on high MOQ and long lead-time materials questions.
- Coordinate finished goods shipping and receiving with the Warehousing & Logistics Planner.
- Inventory Management
- Work with 3PLs to coordinate cycle counts and inventory adjustments as needed.
- Provide inventory variance, SKU width variance, and inventory valuation reports to the Finance Team
- Monitor the weekly 3PL backorder reports and perform root cause analysis.
- Sync inventory across external and virtual locations.
- Coordinate with 3PLs on re-kitting activity.Analysis and Reporting
- Reviews exceptions and organizes data to review with Sr. Planner or Manager to resolve
- Prepares data and material for monthly SIOP supply review meetings
- Prepares Operations KPI metrics to Quality Department, Inventory Turns, On Time Delivery, Discontinued Inventory
- Communication
- Participates / contributes to weekly planning meetings with Production Coordinator
- Participate / contributes to weekly planning meetings with Logistics
- Conducts monthly planning meetings with Mission Sales teams
- Conducts monthly Contract Manufacturer capacity meetings
- Escalates exceptions identified that result in supply shortages or gaps
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Operations Management, Engineering, Math, Finance or comparable field preferred
- Greater than 5 years in Supply Chain Operations, in a buyer/planning capacity
- Extensive data analysis skills using excel.
- Experience in NetSuite ERP preferred
- Experience with Supply and Demand Planning software preferred
- Strong analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Basic knowledge and understanding of inventory management and capacity planning
- Comfortable and effective working cross-functionally at all levels and in a team environment
- Adept at handling detailed daily tasks while also applying your own creativity to improve our current practice
