Supply Planner II

POSITION SUMMARY

The Supply Planner 2 is a mid-level planning professional responsible for ensuring product availability through advanced purchasing strategies, supplier collaboration, and inventory optimization. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy, leveraging Logility, Microsoft Dynamics D365, and planning tools to manage complex supply scenarios, support cross-functional initiatives, and lead continuous improvement projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct regular purchasing reviews to align supply with forecasted demand and inventory targets.
    • Build and manage import loads to optimize container utilization and reduce freight costs.
    • Collaborate with suppliers to confirm availability, lead times, and shipping schedules.
    • Release replenishment purchase orders in alignment with demand plans and safety stock levels.
    • Support special programs and promotional events by ensuring timely and accurate supply execution.
    • Monitor and maintain supplier scorecards to track performance metrics such as on-time delivery, fill rate, and responsiveness.
    • Manage supplier programs and initiatives to improve service levels and reduce supply chain risk.
    • Respond to purchasing alerts and exceptions to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
    • Review planned but not purchased items to ensure timely order placement and avoid supply gaps.
    • Maintain open purchase orders by updating delivery dates, quantities, and shipment details as needed.
    • Coordinate with Logistics and Inbound Scheduling to ensure efficient receipt and flow of goods.
    • Identify and resolve supply constraints through proactive communication and escalation with vendors.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives in purchasing and supply planning processes.
    • Provide insights and reporting on supply status, risks, and opportunities to cross-functional teams.
    • Utilize Microsoft Dynamics D365 and planning tools to manage purchasing workflows and analytics.
    • Uphold company values and contribute to a culture of operational excellence and collaboration.

    • Monitor supplier capacity and lead time variability to proactively manage risk
    • Collaborate with Logistics to optimize inbound freight and reduce costs
    • Maintain supply continuity during product transitions or discontinuations

    • Lead supplier performance reviews and collaborate on corrective actions
    • Analyze supply trends and inventory performance to identify opportunities for cost savings, lead time reduction, and inventory optimization

    • Lead or co-lead cross-functional supply chain projects (supplier transitions, system enhancements, cost reduction initiatives)

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
    • 3-5 years of experience in supply planning, purchasing, or procurement
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics D365 and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Experience in supplier collaboration and performance management
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally
  • Preferred:
    • ASCM CPIM or CSCP Certification
  • • Experience leading cross-functional projects or process improvement initiatives
