Job Description Summary

The Supply & Demand Planner will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive supply and demand plans to ensure optimal product availability and inventory levels for GE Medical Systems Egypt. This role plays a critical part in balancing customer needs with production capabilities and inventory efficiency.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for medical equipment, spare parts, and services using historical data, market trends, and input from sales and marketing teams.

* Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance to gather insights and refine demand forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

* Translate demand forecasts into actionable supply plans, considering production capacity, lead times, and supplier capabilities.

* Monitor inventory levels, identify potential shortages or excesses, and implement corrective actions to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize obsolescence.

* Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability and efficient inbound/outbound logistics.

* Analyze supply chain performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

* Participate in S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) meetings, presenting demand and supply plans, and collaborating on strategic decisions.

* Manage and optimize planning parameters within the ERP system (e.g., safety stock, reorder points, lead times).

* Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks, such as supplier disruptions or material shortages.

* Prepare regular reports on demand forecasts, supply plans, inventory performance, and key supply chain metrics.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

* 3-5 years of experience in a supply chain planning, demand planning, or supply planning role, preferably within the medical device or healthcare industry.

* Proven experience with demand forecasting techniques and tools.

* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.

* Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for planning and inventory management.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

* Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis).

* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

* Knowledge of S&OP processes and best practices is highly desirable.

* Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
