Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Supply Continuity Manager Specialist in Demand Management Specialist (f/m) to join our Standard Parts Team based in Toulouse, France.

The standard parts perimeter currently covers three main commodities: hardware systems (such as seals, clamps, bellows, hoses, fittings, etc.), hardware structure (including rods, bearings, metallic and plastic items, cabin windows, and more), and fasteners (such as bolts, nuts, and rivets).

We oversee a network of around 500 supplier sites worldwide, delivering parts to all Airbus plants, Final Assembly Lines, as well as to risk-sharing partners and Airbus Group divisions.

Our department is composed of three distinct cross-national teams of Supply Chain Quality Managers, each specializing in its respective commodity perimeter.

Your challenges :

1. Strategic Demand Management & Supplier Demand Monitoring :

  • Establish and drive Demand Governance: Set up and animate a dedicated governance structure (meetings, processes, reporting) with our key suppliers and internal stakeholders to rigorously monitor and align on the demand signals transmitted to the supply base.

  • Define and Deploy Supplier Demand KPIs: Design and implement advanced Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) specifically to measure the quality, stability, and reliability of the demand received by our suppliers (e.g., measuring volatility in VMI, Forecast Call-Up, or rolling forecast).

  • Ensure Demand Signal Quality to Suppliers: Analyse demand volatility and implement improvement plans to enhance the clarity and stability of the signal shared with our suppliers, thereby minimizing supplier disruptions.

  • Propose and implement methods to smooth and stabilize demand signals in collaboration with internal customers (FALs, Plants) before transmission to the supply base.

  • Act as the interface for demand quality between internal planning teams and the Procurement/Supply Chain teams.

2. Supply Chain Continuity & Crisis Leadership :

  • Triggered by SCQM, manage specific missions based on supplier weak signals linked to future demand challenges.

  • Set up the appropriate governance and recovery toolkit: communication pack, executive summary, Line of Balance, priority board between customers.

  • Organize lesson learnt, improve demand-related detections, and propose preventive and corrective actions.

  • Strong interactions with the suppliers, SCQM, management lines and customers.

This role will involve frequent travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly (, 1 to 3 days a week, once a month).

Your boarding pass :

Technical Skills & Competences :

  • Deep knowledge of Demand Management, Demand Planning, and Forecasting methodologies.

  • Proven experience in S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) deployment or contribution.

  • Experience in analysing demand volatility and setting up associated KPIs (VMI, Forecast Call-Up, etc.), with a focus on the supplier relationship.

  • Operation and Supply Chain knowledge.

  • Advanced Project management.

  • Familiarity with SAP (ERP) and planning/forecasting tools (e.g., SAP SAC, ARP) would be a plus.

  • Gemba attitude, seeks for risks & issues at the supplier (Retained from the original offer, still relevant).
