Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Supply Chain Technical Coordinator 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Global Supply Chain organization in the Pack and Ship department. This role is in Clearfield, Utah.
Prepares products for shipment by assembling, labeling, and packing items, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards. Key duties include inspecting goods, managing inventory of packaging supplies, and preparing shipment documents. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, often involving tasks like lifting and using warehouse equipment.
Supports and assists activities within multiple disciplines across the Supply Chain process. Provides technical, tactical and execution support in various aspects of the industry standard supply chain business process areas primarily Supply Chain Manufacturing and Supply Chain Logistics, as well as Supply Chain Business Operations. These employees are primarily responsible for the manual movement, shipping and receiving materials.
Expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules. Assists in determining possible and actual shortages may initiate action to correct these deficiencies. Uses knowledge of production, procurement, and engineering departments to alert proper authorities regarding potential problems and appropriate remedial action.
Key Responsibilities
- Packaging and labeling: Assembling boxes and packaging products according to company standards, applying accurate labels with details like product name, quantity, and expiration dates.
- Quality control: Inspecting products for defects before and after packaging and disposing of damaged items.
- Inventory management: Maintaining and organizing packaging supplies, tracking inventory levels, and notifying supervisors when to reorder.
- Warehouse operations: Assisting with loading and unloading products, moving materials, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Equipment operation: Operating equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or scanners as needed.
Utilizes ERP (SAP S4 HANA) & EWI (Solumina) system to track parts through production to meet customer demand and set priorities for Work in Process (WIP)
Position requires 80% of time on shop floor coordinating and controlling product flow and 20% of time updating systems to ensure accurate records in systems.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED and 4 years relevant work experience in shipping/receiving, and/or inventory control and/or material transportation.
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic math and computer skills (Excel experience is a plus)
- Good communication skills
- Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is often preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP ERP experience
- Experience in Inventory Warehouse operations
- Forklift certified
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret CLEARANCE LEVEL or higher
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
Primary Level Salary Range: $48,400.00 - $80,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
