Supply Chain Supervisor

As a Supply Chain Supervisor at IDEXX, you will manage a team of 8 employees responsible for inbound receiving of international and domestic products. Your team will unload and receive products, as well as perform put-away tasks using various types of material handling equipment. In this leadership role, you will ensure operational efficiency, safety, and accuracy while fostering a positive and professional work environment.

You will work in a structured, welcoming, collaborative setting with a consistent schedule and opportunities to lead and develop a high-performing team.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and supervise a team of employees handling inbound receiving and put-away operations.

  • Oversee unloading, receiving, and storage of products for both international and domestic shipments.

  • Ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment including reach trucks, dock stockers, order pickers, and clamp trucks.

  • Provide coaching, guidance, and clear communication on daily priorities and performance expectations.

  • Maintain inventory accuracy and documentation compliance for inbound materials.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize workflow disruptions.

  • Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement within the team.

  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to meet service and quality standards.

  • Proficiency with computers; Microsoft Office skills highly preferred.

  • Previous experience as a people leader in a warehouse or distribution setting.

  • Ability to maintain professionalism and build trust across teams.

  • Demonstrate the ability to understand and adhere to processes and guidelines with minimal need for clarification or correction.

  • Maintain accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks, ensuring compliance and reducing errors.

  • Deliver on commitments, meet deadlines, and can be relied upon to perform without close supervision.

  • Absorb new information, adapt to changing priorities, and apply feedback effectively.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand for extended periods (2+ hours), sit, and perform frequent computer and phone use.

  • Extensive sitting, standing, and computer work throughout the day.

  • Ability to extend and reach with hands and arms and use hands and fingers for handling materials and equipment.

  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch.

  • Occasional lifting, moving, and carrying of items up to 50–70 lbs.

  • Specific vision requirements include close-range vision, color perception, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Fluency in the English language for verbal and written communication.

  • Some travel may be required.

  • May work near exposed moving electro-mechanical parts and must use proper protective equipment as needed.

  • May work for periods of time in cold room environments at 41°F or below.
