OVERVIEW OF THE JOB

The Customer Logistics / Supply Planner is responsible for driving superior customer service and availability across key accounts by owning end-to-end material availability planning and execution. This role plays a critical part in enabling sustained business growth by partnering with Customer Teams and Multifunctional Teams (MFT) to deliver target service levels, mitigate supply risks proactively, and lead initiative readiness for new launches and Joint Value Creation programs.

The role requires strong operational discipline, business acumen, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless execution across the supply chain.

YOUR TEAM

You will report to the Supply Chain Manager and work closely with Customer Teams, Sales Logistics, Distributor Site Teams, and Category/Initiative Multifunctional Teams to ensure delivery of service and availability goals for Key Accounts.

HOW SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

• Service Excellence: Consistently deliver target availability and service levels across key channel-category combinations.

• Proactive Risk Management: Anticipate supply chain risks, identify gaps versus open orders, and take timely corrective actions to prevent business disruptions.

• Initiative Readiness: Ensure flawless execution of new launches, transitions, and customer initiatives (e.g., new store openings, joint value creation projects).

• Operational Discipline: Demonstrate strong ownership of Daily Management Systems (DMS) and Operate With Discipline (OWD) practices, leading structured drumbeats that drive accountability and results.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

• Customer Availability Ownership: Own target availability across key accounts by closely monitoring offtakes, inventory levels (store and online), and service metrics, taking proactive actions to mitigate out-of-stock risks.

• Material Availability Planning: Lead daily material planning drumbeats to close gaps versus open orders and ensure target service levels are consistently achieved.

• Cross-Functional Leadership: Drive alignment across Customer Operations, Sales Logistics, Distributor Teams, and Multifunctional Teams to ensure seamless execution of supply plans.

• Initiative & New Launch Excellence: Lead supply readiness for new product launches, assortment changes, and customer initiatives. Ensure accurate listings, smooth transitions, and master data accuracy.

• Joint Value Creation & Forecast Collaboration: Partner with Customer Teams to enable joint forecasting and collaborative planning processes that unlock sustainable growth opportunities.

• Issue Resolution & Escalation: Identify root causes of outages and service misses, lead structured problem-solving, and escalate critical issues appropriately to minimize business impact.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Leadership & Influence: Ability to lead structured drumbeats with mid-level leaders and influence decision-making across functions without direct authority.

• Operational Discipline: Strong ownership mindset with demonstrated capability in DMS and OWD practices.

• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze inventory, service, and demand signals to anticipate risks and drive proactive interventions.

• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate issues and action plans across teams.

• Collaboration: Ability to build strong, lasting relationships with customers and multifunctional stakeholders, positioning P&G as a preferred partner.

Job Qualifications

PREREQUISITES

• Bachelor’s degree required (Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred).

• Experience in Supply Planning, Customer Logistics, or related supply chain roles preferred.

• Proficiency in MS Excel and working knowledge of ERP systems.

• Prior exposure to digital tools (e.g., Power BI) is an advantage.

• Basic understanding of data logic or coding principles is beneficial.
