Here's more of what you will do...

Percent of Effort/Tasks

60% - Supply Chain Procurement & Inventory Management

Analyzes and monitors assigned distributor(s) product to place inventory orders ensuring accurate and consistent inventory levels to meet business demand across all Hometown Distribution Centers.

  • Orders assigned distributorship product to ensure necessary product is on-hand to meet forecasted demand.

  • Places monthly, weekly, and daily product orders; order frequency dependent on required for inventory levels needed to meet forecasted and current business needs.

  • Follows up on open orders to ensure timely receipt of ordered products.

  • Ensures the right products are delivered to the right location in a timely manner.

  • Schedules inventory transfers between Hometown DCs to ensure inventory levels are aligned to business needs.

  • Maintains timely maintenance of data pertaining to inventory, promotions, forecasting, and ordering for assigned suppliers.

  • Meets supplier requirements as outlined in supplier agreements.

  • Tracks days of inventory to ensure adequate levels of product are maintained.

  • Initiates and tracks internal company transfers.

20% - Operational & Data Analytics

Develops operational and inventory forecasting and variance KPIs, analytics, reports and plans. 

  • Collect and analyze the key cost drivers and market dynamics/issues to provide solid product/market information for decision making.

  • Produces regular analyses and reports on business operations.

  • Analyzes, monitors and makes inventory decisions that impact inventory costs and customer service levels.

  • Manages and improves inventory processes, accuracy and reduce variances.

  • Applies analytic methods and tools to understand, predict, or control logistics operations or processes.

  • Drives efforts to manage/improve costs using/refining time and productivity standards.

  • Continually works to improve systems, processes and policies to scale business and support growth.

20% - Collaboration & Communication

Works collaboratively with Operations and Sales team to inform and advise on inventory levels, issues, etc. levels to appropriate departments/team members as necessary.

  • Monitors out-of-stock and communicates product levels to appropriate departments/team members, as necessary.

  • Communicates product movement between supplier destination and hometowns as needed.

  • Researches and resolves supplier queries by providing information on complex processes/policies.

  • Prepares and reports on inventory levels and distribution in support of business strategies and initiatives.
