Supply Chain Planner

Your Challenges

The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for planning, procuring, and managing finished goods inventory at local warehouses to meet operational targets, while reducing excess and obsolete stock. The position collaborates closely with sales, marketing, and global supply chain teams to align inventory forecasts with market needs and ensure seamless execution of global strategies. Key tasks include managing inventory through SAP , placing and tracking intercompany orders, responding to sales requests, and producing regular reports on supply chain metrics. The job requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 3–5 years of supply chain experience, expertise in SAP and Excel, and strong communication, organizational, and customer-focused skills. Success in this role depends on effective collaboration, decision-making, adaptability, accountability, and innovation within a global organization.

Operational Replenishment & Inventory Planning

  • Plan, procure, and manage finished goods inventory at local warehouses to meet OTIF and DIO targets in line with established guidelines.

  • Manage reduction of excess inventory and disposal of obsolete or discontinued products at local warehouses.

  • Execute instructions from global commercial teams, including Product Allocation Control Teams (PACTs) and Suspension of Delivery communications, ensuring accurate implementation at local warehouses.

Demand Planning & Alignment

  • Collaborate with local sales & marketing teams to align inventory forecasts with sales strategies, and proactively adjust plans in response to market changes, promotional activities, discontinuations, and new product launches.

  • Provide regional perspective and insights to the demand planning process, ensuring alignment with the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) team.

Supply Chain Oversight

  • Maintain supply chain reporting by monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), order statistics, and performance goals to drive continuous improvement.

  • Support and contribute to global supply chain strategies and projects, ensuring local execution aligns with global objectives.

  • Oversee air freight usage and requests from markets, ensuring compliance with global guidelines and policies.

System & Process Management

  • Manage the SAP system and related processes to ensure timely, accurate information and effective team communication.

  • Continuously identify and implement improvements in inventory planning and management tools and processes to enhance operational efficiency.

Tasks

Inventory Management

  • Proactively manage inventory levels for assigned warehouses using SAP cockpit, Excel, and future inventory planning tools.

  • Place and track intercompany purchase orders, identifying supplemental product requirements during shortages or demand shifts.

  • Conduct monthly and/or weekly deployments with all assigned storage locations and local markets.

  • Track intercompany orders in partnership with the Intercompany Customer Care team and provide order timing updates to local markets. Update estimated arrival dates to the local warehouses in SAP purchase orders.

  • Respond promptly to sales team requests for large or uncommon orders, ensuring products are ordered and delivery timelines are communicated.

  • Place and track special order as needed, including drop shipments from first hubs.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner with global supply chain planners (S&OP team) to adjust demand plans in response to market or promotional changes.

  • Communicate with global planners to address shortage issues and provide resolutions and timing updates to local markets.

  • Collaborate with Intercompany Customer Care team to maintain a continuous and reliable supply of inventory shipments.

Reporting

  • Create and share reports on key metrics, including backlog, short stock, and inventory status for key categories/partners.

  • Conduct all necessary reporting for full transparency of the supply chain in the region.

  • Manage special projects and planning of finished goods/spares SKUs as assigned by the manager.

Your expertise


Education, Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Warehousing, Purchasing or related subject.

  • 3-5 years’ professional experience in the field of supply chain and procurement, or equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • Experience in a global organization is desired
