Our Supply Chain and Operations Rotational program associates are provided with fantastic opportunities to learn about different roles and departments as they begin their careers. Associates will hold a series of four 6-month assignments that span various functional areas within the company’s operations, supply chain, and procurement functions.
What will you do?
The Supply Chain and Operations Rotational program is a 2-year program that develops recent college graduates into future leaders of Johnson Controls (JCI).
Rotational assignments are located across the country, and you must be willing to relocate every 6 months between Johnson Controls manufacturing areas.
Rotational opportunities may include Supplier Planning, Production Scheduling, Materials Requirement Planning, Procurement, Lean/Continuous Improvement, Quality, and Logistics and Distribution.
Our Associates will get to experience all aspects of JCI, hone their skills in new and existing technologies, build their business acumen by participating in our learning platform, and round out their experience by networking with top leaders of the company.
How will you do it?
Dive into dynamic data collection and insightful analysis
Assist in supplier selection and evaluation
Excel in the art of Production Scheduling, Materials Requirement Planning, and Supplier Coordination while providing valuable support
Oversee daily production support, ensuring smooth operations through capacity management, scheduling analysis, and optimizing cycle times
Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and projects
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
Maintain reports to ensure availability of materials to the manufacturing floor enabling operational efficiency.
Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste
Learn the JCMS (Johnson Controls Manufacturing System) maturity model and support plants to meet current levels, as well as achieving the next
What are we looking for?
Relevant internship experience.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Procurement, Logistics or Engineering (i.e. Industrial, Automation and/or Manufacturing).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Strong interpersonal skills and decision-making abilities.
Robust communication skills, both written and verbal.
